Thanks Chris :)

As was mentioned in duplicated topic, we discuss colours on polish forum and generally most of us want it.

People coule make dyes for clothes and paint for buildings and vehicles.

Squish some blueberries, set them out to dry, crush the dried ones into powder, - purple dye
Smash some tomatoes, simmer them down, then mix the paste with water and rubber over a fire - red paint
Grind up some carrots - orange die
crush some limestone and mix with water - white (I think limestone is white)
Coal or charcoal could make black

Of course, you would need to dip clothes in a pot of dye to get them dyed, or you would need to make a paint brush - maybe out of wood and horse hair, to paint.

It would, at least, allow for some more variety in the game. Even if it just said [red] A loin cloth leaving little to the imagination
etc. It'd still be good.

I know jack about programming, but it seems having the text say:
"A <color> loincloth leaving little to the imagination."
Wouldn't be too hard. All clothing would have a default color, of course (some brownish-beige for hide clothing, brown for leather, beige for hemp... you get the point, not too fancy.
The big hassle, once the programming stuff is sorted, would be adding that variable to every piece of clothing and setting the default. Poor Seko.

Nice idea Hellzon - fits in well with how text is handlled in game

.. Thank Jos we haven't enabled the clothing descriptions for translation :) Or the same changes would have to be made in all languages. Procrastination can have it's benefits

You also have foreign grammer to contend with, I believe that in French adjectives come after the noun, which would really mess things up

Translation of text in Cantr handles grammer and word ordering - The translaton of clothes descriptions will actually be one of the easiest things to hand over for translation as they are complete sentances and paragraphs of descriptions as opposed to sentances constructed from different blocks of texts.

The main reaosn they have never been openned for translation is that the final descriptions had never been finalised . Thanks to the excellent work by the tailors of RD these are now ready .

some materials (like cotton) should be easier to die than other materials (like fur).

Hahaha I was thinking of a funny situation before... Imagine if you could dye weapons!
'Young lady can you repair my items for me?' Says a man in his fourties.
'Yes sure... I'll take them inside now' Replies a woman in her twenties
A man in his fourties gives an old battle axe to a woman in her twenties
A woman in her twenties repairs and dyes an old battle axe
You see a woman in her twenties pass a brand new Pink battle axe to a man in his fourties...

THAT would be good... Some tough clan leader walking around with pink or purple axes... :D

I don't like that - for one, what would you do with green clothing?

It's camouflage clothing! You can't see it! (You can see the wearer quite fine, though.)
Have to agree with Sho. Besides, I think there's a policy not to use colored text too frequently, and not for anything important.
