Here is my Sexymobile, a 1984 Mercury Marquis

My family didn't take care of it while I was in Ohio so it needs some work I can't drive it right now, but all things in time.

It doesn't have a working AC, which is a bummer in Arizona; and only the AM stations on the radio work; 2 windows don't go down and one doesn't go up; but it's still my car. :D

Ooohh.. I need a flash fancy car for under $5,000, or perhaps in and around that.
My parents said that what ever cash I have in the bank when I go to buy a car, they'll double. I have $2,500 right now, and it should be 1 year (or if I wait longer, 2-3 years) which equals about $3,000-$4,000, which when doubled is $8,000... Any suggestions for a good sportscar??

I can't believe you buy cars for that cheap!!!

I mean, the minimum we pay here for a good car is about $25,000!!!

If it's a used car, the price starts from $8,000...

Ekhm.. A friend of mine bought a car for 20 dollars... It was a gift for somebody. As a matter of fact, the gift lasted for several years, because the recipient of the gift was very proud of it...

BTW.. I'm from Poland, here new cars costs like 5000$ and up... ;)

Take a look at the Datsun Z series. They are cute little cars that you ought to be able to pick up for a reasonable price. Just choose the year that falls into your price range.

A great way to buy a good late model car is to buy a rebuilt vehicle that had body damage.

For my personal cars that is almost all that I buy. There is some risk involved since the vehicle has been in an accident, but by hiring a mechanic for $200 you can have the car looked over for the mechanicals. I have never regretted buying a car this way.

I would caution, however, to NEVER buy a car that has been in a flood. This is bad news. But, with careful inspection you can get really good buys on a previously wrecked vehicle.

In almost every case I have been able to sell the car 3 years or more later for a couple of thousand dollars less. My goal when I guy a car is to pay less than $100/month over the time I've owned the vehicle including insurance and taxes after I sell it. So, if I've owned a car for 4 years if I can sell it for a price where I've spent less than $4800 over the 4 years I count that as a good investment.

Another piece of advise is to NEVER borrow money for a car if at all avoidable. If you have to borrow money for a car buy something less expensive and put down as much money as possible...this is especially true if you're still in school.

Well, Crosshair, it appears you aren't interesting enough to have any questions asked to you...
Don't worry, neither am I. :D

I'm a guy who has spent way too much time with girls and is not afraid of his sexuality.

Now, gotta do something manly...
