Your Avatar

Postby Dee » Wed May 31, 2006 7:46 pm

Sure does tell a lot about you...

There must be a reason to why you chose your avatar, right? Well, the same must be true for your siggie as well.

Share what your avatar symbolizes for you, it's very interesting to know how you made your avatar choice!

I'll start with me... My avatar is about Adam & Eve... The first two people on Earth. I put the avatar, partly because I like hearing stories about them, and partly because I actually believe that they were the first two people God has created, and that they were banned from heaven... In short, it symbolizes that God has created the world, not it being made from a big bang or whatever...

<---I love boats.

My signature is something I put there after a thread about OOC of quotes or something. I can't remember. Anyway, I like it now and think that it fits me well.

Hmm, my avatar. I like Disney, being quite the kid at heart.
and specifically the Sorcerer';s Apprentice, with it's suggestion of potential power even in hte face of apparent irresponsibility.

Honestly though, I picked it mostly because I liked the image, and if there were some deeply mythological or psychological reasoning, it is still locked in my subconscience.

The siggy though, well, I am a huge fam of Firefly, and that quote stuck out so much I tend to use it in daily life too. (The "I got it on sale" part)

I'm just a schizo - hence the ever-changing avatar

Recently I've been rinsing a lot of First-Person-Shooters, particularly the True Combat mod for Enemy Territory. And I'm a huge fan of the quake series - hence the avatar

Which I ripped off from somewhere, although I do make most of them myself (link below...)

Ahhh Another Browncoat, eh, Nateflory?

I don't remember what my avatar is, or even if it shows up...Trying to get a picture of when Remmie and the hermitess came to visit. Got a picture of all us Cantrians that were here at the time...

My sig. Well, I also am a fan of Firefly, it's some of the words to the theme song. :)

I've just changed mine and plan to do so regularly...but so far it's a nice coat of arms made from the mod community of Paradox Entertainment, for the game Crusader Kings. I'm very active in their forums and this CoA has the PAX cryptogram so I think it's cool :D

My avatar and sig represent my inner angst and turmoil under the forces of oppression and adversity. Wait a minute, no it's not. I just haven't found anything that possibly resonates with me yet.

I thought that was the Chi Rho.

My avatar is a hat on a tiny piano. I just like it. No big secret. And my signature contains two things I think are wrong with cantr: creeping featurism and noob drama

... That's a hat on a piano??? I thought it was a PC this whole time. And I'm wearing my new glasses!

Eh? My signature? If you know what it says, you may know it's a quote of Sora in the beginning of the game called Kingdom Hearts II for the PlayStation 2. That's such a totally awesome game. I am so interested in the idea of light, darkness, and nothingness. That's so deep to me! Oh, and I decided to make it hard to read because I thought it would make a cool secrecy kind of thing, I guess.

Oh yeah, and if any of you remember me back then, you may remember my Kingdom Hearts II Sora avatar. Yeah, scratched that now that I realize that it's so unoriginal. Once turned it into a gold coin with Mario imprinted in it for like seconds before I decided I leave it blank.

I just like silly stuff. So I cropped my nose from a photo. (One where I look like I'm stoned. Which I'm not.)
Oh, and I use it pretty much everywhere. If the forum lets me set a custom title, I set it to "Noseferatu". Told ya I was silly.

My avatar is just about music band The Clash, and it's lyrics.

Particularly, this one:

The Clash - Washington Bullets

Oh! Mama, Mama look there!
Your children are playing in that street again
Don't you know what happened down there?
A youth of fourteen got shot down there
The Kokane guns of Jamdown Town
The killing clowns, the blood money men
Are shooting those Washington bullets again

As every cell in Chile will tell
The cries of the tortured men
Remember Allende, and the days before,
Before the army came
Please remember Victor Jara,
In the Santiago Stadium,
Es verdad - those Washington Bullets again

And in the Bay of Pigs in 1961,
Havana fought the playboy in the Cuban sun,
For Castro is a colour,
Is a redder than red,
Those Washington bullets want Castro dead
For Castro is the colour...
...That will earn you a spray of lead

For the very first time ever,
When they had a revolution in Nicaragua,
There was no interference from America
Human rights in America

Well the people fought the leader,
And up he flew...
With no Washington bullets what else could he do?

'N' if you can find a Afghan rebel
That the Moscow bullets missed
Ask him what he thinks of voting Communist...
...Ask the Dalai Lama in the hills of Tibet,
How many monks did the Chinese get?
In a war-torn swamp stop any mercenary,
'N' check the British bullets in his armoury
Que?
Sandinista!
