three-walled shed

I don't know if this is possible, but I think it would be cool to have a building that lets you see the same activities a boat lets you see. You can build machines in it, but the catch is that since there isn't a door it can never have a lock.

This would be good for towns that want to have a public building, but everybody can still (kind of) keep an eye on everybody else.

I'm building a dingy in the middle of town.
same results, strange looks to ensue as people wonder WHY I'm building a boat in the middle of a forest. (Eventually going to be a themed store, where ice-cream could someday hopefully be made)

You can't build machines in a ship. Cabins might work, but they'll probably block your line of sight just like buildings do.

You are? I didn't know you could do that...I tried to build a longboat onetime and it would let me. :(

And Sho, you can build some machines on a boat, but I'm not talking about boats anyway, I'm talking about an open building that would let you see the same sort of events a boat lets you see.

I think something like that would be really important for towns, and solve the problem of no one ever wanting to work inside because it's so boring.

IRC there still are some old inland boat projects around

I believe we removed all old ones with no resources added but we probably left the existing ones

... and my char wanted to build a lighthouse in the middle of the desert... would have been ideal for those boats... but such is Cantrian life.
