While Traveling...

Postby Dee » Mon May 29, 2006 8:12 pm

I don't like the fact that when I am traveling, I don't get to notice who is on the same road unless I click on the "people" button...

There should be a message that looks like this: "You pass by a woman in her thirties" or "You see Jack on the same road".

What do you think?

the passing message doesn't sound bad, although that gets rid of the only way you can escape a guard on the road other than outrunning them

Me likey.

On a tangent, would be cool to get the notice about number of people when you enter a town from the road, that you get when you enter it from a building. It happened to me once once or twice that I arrived, introduced myself, and realized I was talking to an empty town.

Passing messages would be nice but in which point would it be displayed? The moment the person appears in the horizon or the turn when they physically pass you, and would there be a "a man in his twenties is no longer at your view range"?

You noticed a woman in her twenties walking ahead of you, facing the opposite/same direction you're going to. - If same, they are walking slower than you and you've caught up with them.

You noticed a man in his twenties walking behind you, (facing the same direction you're going to). - If they were going to the opposite direction, they'd be in fact about to leave your view range.

Don't really like the option of get notified when there is someone in your view range or when he/she get's out of it.

Then there's no way of escaping other than out run. But thats not always possible.

But i would like to have the option to be able to passing notes or things between each other on the road.

I like this idea, it makes sense. I'd hate to have my explorer char walking across a vacant continent looking for life...then passing someone on the road without noticing.
