What about one of those floating bridges instead? Those barge like thing...pontoon bridges?

*shrugs* Don't know.

Don't really like the feasibility of the idea, meself.

The longest bridge in the world is the Confederation Bridge, which connects Nova Scotia to Prince Edward Island.
(That makes it Canadian, yay)
With that said, the ferry ride only takes a few hours. A gap which would take DAYS to travel by boat, is not even close to feasible to make a bridge across. I'm going to whip out my stupid stamp, and ink up this idea.

For all our people know that water is 2 inches deep and could be walked across. It would explain how people travel across water on certain roads.

But with Cantrians being only 1/4" high those 2 inches may as well be bottomless depths :)

While a slightly stupid, unsupported, unthoughourly thought, unbacked idea, the idea of bridges on lakes is not a bad idea.

well you could dig underground...

but I think making it so only certain people can steer would be mutch more useful.

I don't think bridges without free roaming makes much sense ...
