There are many different islands within the game. Some of which are huge and virtually uninhabited.

Only about 6 to 7% of the locations in Cantr are settled across all language groups, and much of this is sparsely settled. By settled I mean at least two living characters in the location. Most of the in-game maps are of the settled areas - the 93% not settled tends not to be mapped to any significant degree - often just coastal outline and the details of a few locations bordering water.

In most cases the names Marol posted come from this 93% of unexplored locations

WAit...so the three main continents (four?) are less than 6% of the world?

We need a lot more players then!

Could you tell us if the map is laid out realistically in latitude? I mean are there different climate zones, with a north and south pole, temperate zones that sort of thing?
Also if the whole world was as populated as the main areas are now, how much server room would that need? :?
I just got to wondering.
Yuk yuk yuk.

That's a find out in game thingy.

Weather itself and therefore Climate have not been implemented yet . They are on the list of accepted suggestions

Edit - With regards your last query about server space - much much more than we are currently using - unless the new players don't write any notes in whihc case much more.

In terms of the number of living characters - it would be less than the number we currently store (yes every dead character is still there) - so we could accomodate them easily by deleting buried characters.

All animals are already in in their places so we'd not need any more space for them - The main issue will be the buildings and objects the new people would make - large but not unsurmountable

Edit 2 - Oh and this assumes they are mute sleepers who generate no events ;)

Do notes take up a lot of space? See, that's one more reason we need a way to get rid of them, so many are useless anyway.

Use them as fuel for a fire. Gotta smell better than burning dung.

It would be great if all those locations actually existed. It's nice to think that they do... Could anyone answer my question? Help on this topic would be much appreciated. :?:

They are on some maps, and they do exist.
