How do I delete a character?

Postby Spillages » Fri May 26, 2006 12:26 am

I made a few extra characters when I was first learning to play and now have a good list of them that I want to get rid of. I have been reading the forums and found out that others don't like suicidal newspawns and also that there is a limit if you die before age 25.

Awkward: Having your phone go off full volume during a funeral.

Even more awkward: Your ringtone being "I Will Survive"

The most awkward: Coming back after a 10+ year hiatus and swearing I'd never come back.

Hey, good question! Is the slot frozen if the PD deletes a character?

In my opinion it is obvious. I would not wish to develop this theme.

Chris Johnson wrote:This has now been implemented

Character slots are closed for 40 days ( 2 cantr years) from the death of a person under 25 regardless of death cause.

So No - A PD death will still close the slot for 40 days if the character is under 25

In my opinion it already was discussed.

for people who have a high character turnover, which I think is quite unusual unless you engage in the kind of behaviour the lock out is discouraging

They are dead. But the 40 day rule should not bother me. i don't plan on making any new ones any time soon. i still got 4 more to kill off.

I feel there should be an element of leeway here... after all, if your player is massacred I feel this rule is harsh... I have spawned only 2 new characters in a year and a half, yet if my newspawn is murdered before they reach 25, my slot is frozen for 40 days... more than a little harsh, no?
