Use on shovels with burial projects

Postby Kael » Thu May 18, 2006 9:37 pm

I'm suggesting that with the use of a shovel burial time would decrease by half. Digging a hole with your hands is twice as long as digging a hole with a shovel and then shoving the body inside.

I just got sick of the long bury times, my town alone has about 50 bodies just rotting away.

I think it actually does that already. Though if your character is awkward at burying, it might bump the time up to two hours.

Why is burying even a separate skill? :?

Digging should be burying.

A shovel does speed up burials by a factor of 2

Then I must be REALLY bad because sometimes it takes me a whole day and then I still have to ask for help to get it done.

My advice: Don't die around me if you hope for a quick burial.

Oh alright, I guess I wasn't looking closely enough.

But to readress

Digging should be burying.

Why are they seperate skills? Do they require prayers and eulogies or something? :?

Digging means removing stuff from the ground. Therefore graverobbing would apply the digging skill. Burial is inverse and therefore completely different.

That's twisted logic! It's removing earth from the ground, the same skills as digging limestone, but extra ones in filling the hole in again. *grin* The same sort of relationship as between hunting and fighting.
