That Mohammed was an agent of the pope, sent to establish a religion in the byzantian empire and beyond,For the expressed purpose of doing away with older religions such as zoroasterism.(thats not spelled right) and various other so-called pagan religions. For the purpose of ultimately declaring them heretics instead of mere Pagans,So he (the pope and his predecessors could launch crusades on the "Holy Land"
Boy, yout information are really a mess!
Online resources are not reliable. To get real information, get a book! A good book, not just some crap.

If you have already read the website I mentioned, then I think it has answered your question. If not, then the answer is that Jesus is a prophet, just like Muhammed. He came before Muhammed and he was sent by the same God, Allah. We, muslims, believe that Jhudism and Christianity were all relegions that were preparing for Islam. So, we also believe that the prophets of those relegions are muslims. We believe in Jesus, we believe in Mary. The only difference is, we believe that Jesus was not killed. He is still alive, with Allah.. He is there but he is waiting for the end of the world to come again and save us from the wars that will happen.
So, they are mentioned in the Qur'an because we believe in them.
I don't know if that answered my question... I tried.

Oh boy, here I go again....
Hey Seko, nice scientist thing. I'm a Christian, but believe me, thoughts similar to that have to come to mind...not so detailed though.
Oh, and the thing is, what ever religion you do have, its still better to have one! (unless its some totally corrupt, let's take over the world type of thing of course)
Atleast with Mormons, we have our members follow standards which are not really so bad if you think about it. No drugs, fasting a day every month (doctors like the idea), not dating until you're older, not much caffeine, and that type of stuff. (now don't start saying I'm biast, Mormonsim is just the religion I know the most about with standards)
About that Muhammed post... you actually believe that? Guess people have there religions.... Are you saying Allah is the one god? Well, if it is, then atleast obviously that person probably visited some other people, and gave them orders and stuff, and that's were some other religions started.
I don't think they were really, and I think you spelt pedophiles wrong...
What's wrong drilling for oil? (sorry, but I spent this school year researching it)
And what you said made me laugh. We're just a happy laughing family. *points and laughs at a random person*
Probably not even the depths, ever hear of anti-mormons? Their basic goal in life is to ruin the Mormon religion.
Same
Ah, that explains it, you kinda contridicted yourself but I'm over it.

I wish Muhammed was still alive.

Case in point George Bush and his conservative Christian war-mongering oil-hoarding base.not to mention the mindless pitbulls we recruit in the army daily;) his grandfather was prolly the worst and all 3 have been pedophiles.AM I the only who feels like he lives in very lax Facsism???

Ah, the internet, where the wildest claims have been made. Are any backwater websites buried in the depths of Google claiming that Mormons are cannibals? Anyone think that a baptism for the dead involves digging up dead bodies?

I`m actually sorry I posted here I`m always either labled a nut or ignorant I assure you I am niether.

Well, if you want to define religion that way (i.e. the hierarchy thing) than it's still a good or bad thing. Governments are that way, and I assure you that without government we wouldn't be where we are today, and (most importantly) we would have no internet, which means no Cantr.
Religion has done a lot for people also, for example, whether by miracles or just good living, Mormons tend to live longer than those who do not follow the Word of Wisdom (don't smoke, don't drink, eat your veggies, etc.).
Of course, both Religion and Government have harmed people, for example Hitler, and Saddam Hussein. Religion, too, has had it's black spots. The higher ups of the Catholic Church (as well as some of the lower downs) in the Middle Ages, certain Muslim offshoots (coughterrorists*cough) which seem small enough to be nearly undectable but large enough to wreak havoc on, ironically, mostly other Muslims.
*=Note that I am not referring to Muslims at large and am aware that less than one percent of the Muslim population is involved in these violent and hypocritical Muslim wanna-be cults. Notice also that I am not stating my opinion as to what should be done about the existance of aforementioned cults. What's the definition of a cult anyway?

A cult is a religion started by some person. Where it isn't a very old religion and started in the United States or something like that, usually used as an insult. Let me go look it up...
In religion and sociology, a cult is a group of people (often a new religious movement) devoted to beliefs and goals which may be contradictory to those held by the majority of society. Its marginal status may come about either due to its novel belief system or due to idiosyncratic practices that cause the surrounding culture to regard it as far outside the mainstream.
That's a pretty good explanation...
