The problem is that those two are rather unbalanced. The tossed salad hugely favors one or two areas like Garden and maybe Baaak, and is impossible on the Siom island altogether, as far as I kow. The potato salad favors cow cultures such as the Drojf coast and maybe Baaak again, and ignores large areas with too little milk from only the odd goat and suchlike, or sometimes no milk at all. Same with eggs.

Please bear in mind that such additions to the game in current conditions can potentially have huge strategic impacts. Why favor the same old handful of towns over and over again?

What about a nut dressing for potatoes? :P

Unfortunately, that's the way life is. Some things are harder in some places. So if town 'a' has an advantage that town 'b' doesn't. Trade, and wealth are inextricably linked with the principle that if you need this you have to go here. So town 'A' would flourish. While town 'b' would turn into columbia. Not fair, just life.

Edit: Nothing against columbia, I was just comparing town 'b' to the drug capital of the world.

Actually, we are not quite finished with all the ideas in this area. Your point is taken that these recipes favor certain areas, but with very good reason. A lot of recipes are going to be implemented over the next few months that are tailored to particular regions. This will surely add some real RP flavor to regional diets, much like real life. This has already happened a little bit thanks to the efforts of the good characters of Tirqci and Brunoi who despite of the "pointlessness" of pizza and cookies have perservered to make them for the hell of it anyway. :D

So will everything be efficient everywhere? No. Should it be? No. I don't think so. A lot of players think so. Hopefully we can help take one more step away from vanilla cantr into something a bit new and colorful. :)

And - as always - if RD begins to create new horribly inefficient food implementations, just continue to bitch about it like you all have and we will consider fixing it. I am a kind and benevolent RD chair, open to suggestions and constructive criticisms. :D

Please be patient for a bit longer until I have a free weekend with no IC politics to suck up my free time :? and the energy to write up the new recipes and add them. :)

How about just plain old fashioned grilled or roasted vegetables? Not every recipe has to be fancy or complicated.

Oh, and I want corn on the cob! :)

Has this process ended yet? We're now up to 96g carrots a day from 40g once? Harvester production increased 2.5 times, so we're almost back to balance.

Is that the same for potatoes, one of my characters has recently only eaten 181g, is this going up to 250g? (100g x 2.5) presumably to match the carrots at 100g (40g x 2.5), because the last potato increase was only by 15g.

It shouldn't go that high. oOne of the reasons was to even up the work necessary to farm potatoes and carrots.

I thought that they were only supposed to double from what they originally were... which means carrots should've stopped the last time... :?

Carrots were really...too much. If you had carrots, then why the heck ever eat anything else?

So I'm sort of happy with the idea of rebalancing the carrots a bit. Must say the changes have been hell on my costing calculations, and several of my charries have necessitated my spending what by now must total a good few hours at it, but I agree it's in a good cause.

Oh and thanks again, crew, for the stew. :D

My charracters see no rhyme or reason for the changes... at least one is keeping quiet believing he is cursed for stealing the carrots he has!
