Well, I have started to notice that my chars skills are deteriorating... although I have only seen it in hunting/fighting so far.
This post is as much to get other opinions, and to get the ProgD to explain... because quite frankly, when skills levels go up so slowly, deteriorating them is more than a little harsh. In my opinion, of course...

Not intentionally - According to the code they can only rise .
As Marol said, if you do think there is an issue then contact ProgD with details of which character and preferably which skill you believe has declined.
When a person is first spawned( or when skills were first introduced) we keep a record of the starting value for each skill - We can compare this with the current levels - We also have snapshots over time as well.

I am fairly sure that they can't decrease. However, I do believe that they are ranked in order of profeciency, so if one of your skills were to advance beyond another, those two skills might switch places on your list.

I thought one of my chars drilling ability dropped from expert to efficient when the ability to see all the skills was implemented. But then I just dismissed it as confusing the two, or reading it wrong the first time.
