Language problems

Postby EchoMan » Sun Apr 16, 2006 7:25 pm

It seems language is somewhat broken. It swaps between Swedish and English for at least one of my Swedish chars.

Action -> Next page is in...
- Leaving a building -> English
- Checking inventory -> Swedish
- Hunting -> English
- Checking People -> Swedish
- Checking events -> Swedish
- Entering a building -> English

There are some parts of Cantr that cannot yet be translated for programming reasons. Aside from that, not all languages are fully translated to the extent possible.

Maybe I just haven't noted it if it has always been like this. You'd think the "buttons" in the character menu could be translated no matter what content the page has.

Swedish 44 356 3 100 % <-- enough extent for me. :)

Mine does this, too. Is in English or French somewhat randomly, for both my English and French characters.

I don't mind since I read both.

Can it have to do with the local computers memory for temporary internet files to do? As it is only in the languages you play. It would have been more strange if you get it in a langiage u never play.

i believe that sometimes it is a programming issue where the translation doesn't make it to your page, and sometimes it is an issue of the particular page not having been translated by the language dept. yet.

I have noticed when I check my french char then go back to my main page, it's in french. Not sure if it's every time, but it's often enough.
