Chris Johnsson: Dude, it hurt reading that. Thanks, now to wiki-editing...

T-shirt: Right _now_, you just may be right. When we get animal domestication, though, animals will serve a purpose. ;)

/Hellzon - likes animal domestication

A lot of nice ideas are riding on animal individualization. I also don't think players would be happy with a "dehumanized" approach to animals - even if the end effect is the same or better in terms of game balance, players would much rather hunt individual animals than "gather" animals. There's a lot of RP that grows around hunting.

The truth often hurts ;)

(...oh and I 'm always fighting off the Scots over here with their Johnston and Johnstone ... Never thought I'd have to fight the Swedes over Johnsson ) :)

We have mammoths?

And gathering animal products would be boring...

P.S. Can we get sabre-tooth tigers too? Just not in Aki please.

Whilst we're on the subject, with the new addition. Would it be possible to have the details of how skills level up made public? i.e: how much work / hunting / fighting you have to do to reach the next 'level', if they decrease over time etc etc.
And also, what effect they have on the outcomes - i.e: how much difference there is between the extra time it takes a 'novice', and the time saved by an 'expert'
Whoever you vote for.

The government wins.

I will document these and release them in the next few days
I will say that skills do not decrease

Dragging is not a skill in itself - Strength & Tiredness govern dragging (and relative fighting skills if the object being dragged is another person)

Thanks Chris.
I think you're well on the way to being awarded 'guy who is owed the most beers by Cantr players' :)

I have started to add to the wiki the skills associated with resource gathering, and other projects. I will continue to fill it out as I get more free time (two more weeks until finals week).

And beer is for peasants. I can agree to buy CJ a cider, though. ;)

Database changes to all game objects such as tools, weapons, vehicles, machines and animals are now automatically recorded in the wiki. This is done by the CantrBot server process which checks once a day for any changes. The pages which are updated are listed in The Database Change Category

These pages are protected and not editable by non sysop users and are purely for infomation purposes - If you want to discuss these then edit the relevant wiki talk page or post here on the forums.

At the time of posting only the Resources, Clothes and Machine Projects pages have any entries, as only these have changed since the initial snapshot was taken two days ago.
