When you've been waiting for several hours for something to happen, and you go back and check Cantr, and all your charries are still grey...
Awkward: Having your phone go off full volume during a funeral.

You know you're screwed when...
... you punch a sheep in the presence of a particularly psychotic though normally placid, semi-pacifistic pirate sheepgal called Vitzy... (Die fiendish sheepkiller!)
... you're a pirate in Krif/Drojf's lake.
... you hand your keys to a guy who locks your home and says he'll be back sometime. And you're locked in your home with a ton of meat, a ton of wood, and a ton of repair projects.
.... you're on the second ever expedition to Burgeo, and one member of your team just wandered off to make a map, and you and your captain start getting whaled upon by the local, furred inhabitants. And you've got ever so state-of-the-art wooden shields and longbows. Oh yeah, and part of the whole recruiting pitch for this expedition was that the captain was in fact the sole survivor of the first expedition to Burgeo.
... you've just recruited a guy to be second in command of your army cause he was strong and had iron/steel stuff, but when you walk out of your HQ the next morning, you find all of your soldiers bloody and pointing blades at your beloved second-in-command and he's pointing his blade at them.
... your favorite town is in grave danger, you're minutes away from the 200 minutes refreshing, and suddenly there's a blackout. Oh yeah, tornado warnings, too.

You know your screwd when you get bored of cantr, you deleat one of your two accounts, hoping that the players department doesent know that you used your mom's account to make more caracters, and then you ceep on thinking each time you get cicked of of cantr that they locked your account and your heart ceeps on bump.. bump... bumping in your chest and YOU CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!!

You know your screwd when you feel guilty about having a caracter die in one of your two acounts who was trying to unite two plases and you just deleated the account and you didn't want to deleat it and you want to play him again but your still imbarrased about him and what he failed to do and your wondering what would happen if you didn't deleat your secont acount.
You are terribly scared of storms, and then one day you arent afrade of them anymore, and you CANT Take it anymore, (I don't know why)

....when you come back to a dead town with an obvious massacre(10s of people stuffed in buildings with the description: crossbow hit, or sabre hit) and find the person with the key to the storage gone and the building locked and you hand 2000g of coal to someone and go get food, come back to find them gone and a note saying they'll be back soon, but you don't get too bored because the town has magnesium and a hematite drill.
