What time are you going to put it back up?

There is apparently a problem with the database, and the programmers are working hard and furiously to fix it. However, I have been informed that Cantr may not be up anytime today.

Please be patient and supportive of our programmers who are working on this. They are your friends.

Wouldn't it be funny if we all got so engrossed in the forums and PMs that we forget to check to see if it's back up?

I <3 Programmers.

(But only plutonically.)

It always jolts me a little when Cantr isn't working. Kind of an, "Oh, crap, did I CRB?" Not that I CRB, but there's the occasional irrational misunderstanding.

Another thing which I assume is related to this is what happens when you try to read stolen notes

CRITICAL_ERROR:
Line 197 /home/httpd/vhosts/cantr.net/httpdocs/e107/class2.php

Error reported as: [3]: Core settings saved - backup made active.
CRITICAL_ERROR:
Line 199 /home/httpd/vhosts/cantr.net/httpdocs/e107/class2.php

Error reported as: [4]: No core backup found. Please run the Reset_Core utility to rebuild your core settings.
After rebuilding your core please save a backup from the admin/sql screen.

There is a link for me to do whatever it is it is saying to do

I have been doing that for several years, but it doesn't help me cope without cantr!

Please, feed our characters and don't leave the animals to eat them while we are out. . . :(

Has anybody noticed that you can't get to the Webzine either?

I can handle Cantr II not working now and then, but no Webzine?

I would assume that if you can't access the database through Cantr, Cantr won't be able to make your characters go hungry, either.
Most likely, when it's fixed, Cantr will either have woken up from stasis, or have to be reset to a backup - both have happened before. In neither case will starvation be a problem.
