Lots of cultures used to use these, all it is is a pointed stick used for digging up roots and things...in Cantr it would be used for potatoes and carrots, and onions, and maybe some other root vegetable I can't think f right now.
Or maybe the fishing spear could be used for those things, it's basically the same thing...but if you wanted to make a digging stick different and harder to make it might have to be hardened in a fire pit or something first.

Actually, I think this is a rather reasonable request.
It is surprising that there aren't more dung-forks floating around out there, though. Wonder why that is? Adding a stick to do the job slightly better will probably ensure that dung forks are never made again.

Wich: If you have the machines an tools to make a dung fork, you almost have all the machines and tools to make a harvester. Towns are more likely to invest the resources in a harvester, and individuals will rarely get a smelter, tools and wood etc. with the goal of makig a dung fork...

Aren't dung forks pretty good weapons too? It is kind of strange that they're not used more, I know how much my miner loves her pickaxe, and it seems like someone who had to do a lot of farming would feel the same way about a dungfork..
Still, I don't think it would hurt to be able to gather just slightly faster with a digging stick, especially now that everyone eats more.

Checking through farming tools in the wiki. By Jos are those farming implements good weapons!
Anyway, I think hf is still right. I'm sure you can make much better weapons out of those materials if you want an actual weapon, and the harvester is better for harvesting. Good idea for explorers to bring forks, scythes and whatnot, though.
