This is what it said, it suggested reincarnation and the P.S. was particularly offensive and vulgar, not only are there no fathers but the suggestion is very offensive to young minds who may play this game.

Here's what it said:
As I starve to death in your fucking prison I vow to kill and rape every single one
of you (not necessarily in that order) I will return flanked by a troupe of undeaad
wariors who will feast on your living flesh..slowely...relishing every scream or
plea.

I came to you looking to spreat the news of my new religion and I will leave
condeming you to an afterlife of agony and sodomy in the its of hell!!!

This character's language may be offensive to some, but not his words. Shouldn't Cantr allow any curse-words or offensive language, what will happen next? You know hitting somone is kind of a bad thing in real life, should it be forbiddedn or not possible to do so in Cantr?

If a character starts saying or writing things about people in real life and their skin color or relgious beliefs, then there's no question about it being reported and taken care of. But please don't take away our freedom in using what kind of words we want, as long as it doesn't affect real-life people.

A zelot has been imprisoned. They tend to curse and swear when you do that. That's true in real life as well as cantr.

However, as long as that religeon was based on sex, he's not saying anything out of line. If there was a position in the religeon that labeled a role as a "dad", like the dominat male, then that'd be just a title, not a genetic linkage.

The undead bit however, and coming back, that is right out the window.

Despite some large cultural differences among Cantr players, I think we all have common sense enough to distinguish some in-game violence from totally unwarranted language as in the note above.

That was a rather talented curse, the only thing that doesn't fit is the mention of father. But maybe PD should ask the player if they are really mad by the imprisonment, if yes, remind the person this is a game and things happening to the character are not insults towards the player, and that coming back from the death via another character would be a breach, just to make sure.

All right. But if I am to play this game in the future, I need you to tell me what is offensive and what is not. Because what's offensive to me is perhaps not offensive to you, just like something funny to you might not be funny to me. Who is to say what you can and can not say? I know what's unlegal to do or say, even in a online game, but not what's offensive.

If a character is offensive to someone in-game, why can't they solve the situation in-game? If someone finds the note offensive, just pick it up at put it away in an envelope in your inventory.

I'm not terribly easy to offend, but I found that note pretty offensive. Threatening to rape other people's characters? I didn't think you could even rape people in this game.

there's no coded mechanic for any kind of reproduction, much less rape, but sex of any kind can be RP'd.

The note was left in game, about the in game charaters. If your in game character was offended, have them do what they do when offended. If the note about the in game characters offended you personnaly, remember it was about your characters and not you, and take a moment to keep reality and game seperated.

Since the guy's already locked up, all you can do is kill him, or lock him up deeper. remove the note from circulation and get over it with the certainty that the idiot will die.
