Favorite Cities

Postby sammigurl61190 » Mon Dec 22, 2003 7:37 am

What are your favorite cities? In general, or for certain things?

My favorite city is Krif, definitely. No doubt about it. And it's not just because my favorite characters are there (although that does make a slight difference ). Naron is awesome--I've always loved Naron. There are some very colorful people there. I like Quillanoi....not that much, but enough to list it. I used to like it a lot more before it became all politics. Maybe it was always that way and I didn't notice it. Who knows. Pok is good. Tossing grapes is fun. So is throwing potatoes. :D

Krif is nice because the entire region always seems to be threatened by one group or another, dread should be their standard feeling. Quillanoi was pretty interesting when I had my last char there, but its been awhile. Siom was awesome about 200 turns ago when there was massive workforces pouring out to gather every material. I think Lad is probably my favorite city currently though.

My fav is Drojf. :) Silly is so cute! And the Nossé ROCK! :D

:P :P :P

Anywho, I also like Siom. And Lad is nice for one of my characters-she is in charge of a whole room all to herself! ;)

I just can't seem to get away from my love for Blojt. lol (So many don't like it cuz it's too loud at times) But, theres just something about it. (I think every time this questions been asked my answer has been #1 Blojt)

I'm beginning to wish I did have a char in Lad. (After all these months of saying I wouldn't like it) But I'm so dang curious to see what its like inside Lad beyond a day.

Vrayllnuets hills south is somewhat of a favorite, lately. :)

It seems the Krif/Drojf/Seatown region is a favorite...definitely mine. *grins*

Karnon Forest! I think people knew I was gonna say that.... Things don't always go right there, but man, is it fun to play. So that's more from a player's standpoint than from a character's.

I like Quillanoi, it's got a brilliant political/business orientated atmosphere that I don't think is present elsewhere.

As probably most people know, Quillanoi is by far my favorite. It's closest to how I thought Cantr would be when I set it up :) ... And I really like Lad., because it's interesting to play there, and because it creates the necessary variation in the game. Councils everywhere is a bit boring ;) ...

Seatown Forest is great if you have the possibility to see the "behind the scenes" stuff :)

I also like Krif, Brunoi Forest and Siom.
The most interesting action is out in the semi-wasteland though, and the small settlements that are being formed there.

I personally find Quillanoi and Blojt a bit too "active", while places like Lad (at least when I had a character there) is too silent, since the regular population seldom is involved in anything other than working.

But it also depends a bit on what kind of character you have in these places. For example I had a rather silent, ruggish type in Blojt...if I played a more giggly and childish person my view might have changed.

Quillanoi has a beautiful blend of a easily accessable economy, developped and fair political system, and a large social aspect to the town as well. By far the most advanced civilisation in the world, IMO. Their currency is quite good, although there are quite a few flaws that I wont point out, I will let Mr Russell find that out in game some day. Lets just say a character I know made quite a bit of cash exploiting the Quii.

My biggest hope is that Siom, Quillanoi, Brunoi... all those democratic nations form one country. That would be the best.

Seatown Forest and Alenz Hills, however, are two towns that make it easy for a new character to get armed to the teeth. Quite fun to have a spawn there.

Karnon Forest is a fun spot, but its too tense to ever develop. Too many peole want to rule it, or do whatever, and nothing is ever going to get done. I am starting to lose interest in it, recently. If I had posted this a few weeks ago I may have put KF as #1.

I don't know much about the governmental attempts to see that happen, except they exist, but expanding businesses could bring the whole area closer together by potentially improving communications and increasing the similarities between places

I think Tircqi and Brunoi will grow closer if Tircqi ever gets its act together, mainly though I think it will be a private enterprise move rather than governmental but it depends on some upcoming events.

 EDIT: Heh, forgot to put my favourite place :( Anyway I think Klojt is just great because it isn't to noisy like Krif an Drojf in fact like that whole area but it has nice community which isn't huge and doesn't sit on some amazing resources but still manages to be different. I always picture it as a quiet little place nestled away in the mountains, possibly in a valley or maybe just on a stretch of dark water.

Quillanoi...described as beautiful? Would have never used that adjective to describe it...
