Does this mean we can directly load map images to notes without having to email them first?

And be aware that pictures still will be moderated - if usage of self uploaded image in notes will break BR - note will be deleted and issue reported to PD.

You were able to upload it before, sending them to pictures@cantr.net and waiting for a link to paste, but now you would be able to upload them using Cantr interface on your own with aware that picture must be friendly with CR.

Have I said "yay" today? No. Very well then...

YAY!

I'm sure all players of cartographers (of which I'm one) agree with me...

BTW, how cranky would management be if one uploaded partial maps (i.e. drawn maps that one intends to expand on in the near future). 'Cause that might leave a lot of unused images. Not sure if this is an issue...

/Hellzon - pleased

The system is now live

We will be monitoring usage , both for content and volume.

If we feel the system is being abused we will have to take necessary actions. Generally we'd appreciate if players used this conservatively
and not load up hourly updates of maps

This is kewl, i like it a lot.

But say if we have an image slightly larger than the upload limit and we really want it, can we still send to pictures@cantr.net to ask?

Yes that will be fine , though if possible try to reduce the size yourself as sending to pictures@cantr.net will involve a delay

The current limit for the automatic upload is 100kb and we have a daily
limit of 10 uploads per ip address

Very nice, I've gotta admit. Great work !
The waiting period for the upload, if the picture was sent to pictures@cantr.net was way too long.
Now making maps will be more comfortable and a lot easier :)

I actually just made a small map with this feature, worked wonderfully. 100kb is pleanty if you know how to manipulate image quality. I had planned to leave an update to some of the spots the treefeather map was missing, and now, I'm ahead of schedual, just whipped it out without the three day to one week wait I was expecting.

Another great feature! Thank you!
Reality was never my strong point.

And now You should all start a discussion about the best ways of deleting useless images. Maybe a script which will seek for pictures which aren't in any note? I'm almost sure you will need it soon.
