exactly my point.

We play this game, for free, because we want to. If the creator/owner wants to change the game for his own personal wishes, we don't have to keep playing.

I will keep expressing my opinion, however.
Reality was never my strong point.

Agreed. And this is where I bow out, as I'm not interested in us having a debate... Just when I read the post I felt a little like you were attacking Jos for doing what he wants to with his game, and making him out to be fairly egocentric, which didn't seem entirely fair.

I'm not about to defend Jos with my life due to his creation of this fantastic game, but slagging him off personally seemed a little over the top.

I'm sure there's plenty of ways to contribute opinions about the game itself...

You could actually do something useful with flowers about this topic. (are flowers of any use atm? I mean..they arent IRL, but still, lol.)

I mean...add sunflowers to some locations and let people gain vegetable oil from their seeds...and use it as a fuel source. Or atleast you could make it to fire up an oven or something, if fuel is not implemented.

It's not gas by the way.

The vast majority of cars still run on petrol or diesel, and even a cursory glance at those will tell you that they're not gasses.

A 'stick' helps collect nuts

a 'walking stick' is purely aesthetic and has no use (unless RD changes it and made it like the stick)

It looks like RD did ....

Collecting nuts

Note that in one day one person can only collect 250 gram. The number of turns will be rounded upwards. The end result will have a random deviation (max 20%) of the amount you ask for.
If you have stick, you can collect 375 grams a day.
If you have walking stick, you can collect 500 grams a day.
If you have diamond tipped scepter, you can collect 437 grams a day.

A walking stick has been used for nuts since before I started playing, so it's not exactly new or anything. I always wondered if it actually helped with your walking any, does anyone know for sure?

I am going to go ahead and move this to make the official forum announcement now. Vehicles with motors do not require fuel just yet, but everything is in place. We hope to move the system live in about a month. This is the heads up so that everyone can prepare their characters for it.

Engines will accept four possible fuels: alcohol, propane, biodiesel, or petrol

Check the Wiki for the machinery and resources needed to produce the fuels. Propane is already established but the other three are new. We want to give ample time for the infrastructure to develop in game before we move to fuel usage.

We will get a detailed description of fuel usage added to the Wiki in the vehicles section. Basically, the engine will have the ability to be used as a storage for fuels. Each fuel is used at a base rate set for the engine, which is adjusted based on the vehicle type. This gives the grams of fuel used per pixel traveled.

The order in which fuels are burned should follow similar logic to the way food is eaten now (least potent first).

When the system is activated, all existing engines will be given one free tank filled with petrol. Existing engines built after that time will start with an empty fuel tank. This way, we hope to avoid leaving any vehicles stranded anywhere away from a possible source of fuel.

I did not reread the entire post, but what benefits does fuel provide? What advatages do I have in using one over another?

Sighs, this is going to make things alot more difficult to sell cars.
