getting stuff out of a container

Postby T-shirt » Wed Mar 15, 2006 10:11 am

When taking resources out of a barrel, the resources end up on the ground and I end up on the inventory screen of my character.

A bit useless;

- I either have to be directed to the events screen to see that I have taken something out of a container,

- or I have to be redirected to the objects screen, where the container is and the resources I took out of it,

- or resources taken from a container should not drop to the floor, but to the characters inventory.

I suggest option three to be implemented.

agreed, I hate taking things out of a container at the moment, it's fiddly, in real life if you take something out of a barrel, you dont then throw it to the floor, hunt around in your pockets, then realise that it's on the floor in front of you, and then bend over to pick it up!

If it goes directly to the inventory, can we see the type of material being unstored? As it is now, you can't see the material type, but since it drops to the ground and needs to be picked up, it can be identified.

I agree, Talapus, that that would have to be changed if this were implemented. And if so, I'd have no problem with it. It also frustrates me that when you store something in a container, it always sends you to your inventory instead of back to objects. That needs to be changed as well.
