I had moments where I was the first to vote in a week, making Cantr the first game to show up in the weekly listing.
Seen the ranking hover in several positions.
Personally, I want to see Cantr beat the snot out of Syrnia... I play Syrnia too, as a time-killer, but it really isn't good enough to even pretend to be better than Cantr, yet they claim to be the best in their own community.
Seeing that game top Cantr in the ratings kinda makes me wonder what happened.
I remember seeing that message on the character page, with the link, about how it only took 40 more votes to get into the top 10 list.
Directly after that message, lots of people voted.
Yet after some voting madness, less and less folks seemed to bother voting.
On another games-site, I forgot which one, Cantr has a steady-ish spot (position 2, sometimes 3) in the RPG section, with more votes than on OMGN.
What makes people not vote on one gamessite, but regularly on another?
Speaking of OMGN voting, I always vote there, even when following links from other games.
For example, I also play on SWCombine, and often can't vote for them because they already made number 1, so I use the drop-down box to go to Cantr, and vote.
I doubt I'm the only one who's voting like that, but yeah, how come the number of votes seems to have decreased after that first message?
In other words... start voting, or I'll train an army of rabies-infected monkeys to find you all and force you into watching "The Sound of Music".
Edit:
Yep, I agree, that list was a great idea.
One note though... the last two links look like one link.

Argh! Ninth! I cast my vote...
Nakranoth's "evil" character says:
"Thief! That's terrible! *shakes his head* That would hurt people's feeling if I did that."

hivnik wrote::) I don't know if OMGN has a history of each week's top games but if they do I'm betting StarWars Combine has won once every four weeks. It's tough for a game like Cantr, where there's no particular personal incentive to vote, to beat a game like StarWars Combine, which lets you get unique starships if you vote for them often enogh. But I voted for Cantr anyways, even if it is a lost cause this week.
That's were coming 2nd or third is better - you stay on the top 10 game list. The higher voted games like StarWars Combine end up disappearing 3 weeks in 4 .
