stone axes
Awesome!
Are these brand new or did I just take awhile to notice them?

Stone axes went in last night, a bit too late for me to post announcement or send info to the wiki. We will try to get it there ASAP.
Two implementations here, both found in the tools sub-menu:
stone cleaver --> essentially a wedge of stone with no handle, very primitive and based directly on the suggestion accepted long ago.
stone axe --> made by adding a wood handle to the stone cleaver
Both increase wood gathering rates and function as primitive weapons, the stone axe being slightly more efficient. As they are tools, they are capable of being added to projects in the future, but currently aren't assigned.

If you look at it in terms of the amount by which the gathering rate is increased, the steel axe is significantly better: 100% as opposed to 33%.
And we've more or less established that Cantr players will do anything to get a few percentage points of an advantage - recall the big fuss about what the most powerful weapon was, when the top three were no more than 5% apart from each other.

I am waiting to see how it goes. We are hoping that there is enough incentive to the steel axe to keep players making them. The deterioration/repair balance comparison for the axe and stone axe is going to be similar to the philosophy for hammers and stone hammers.
On top of that, 600 grams per day rather than 400 or 300 is actually a pretty big deal in the grand scheme of things.
