Clothes

Postby chopper » Thu Dec 18, 2003 12:53 am

I put some fur on the fur cloak when I started. Not enough to finish it though. Suddenly I get the message, Fur cloak has been finished.

But no fur cloak appears in the inventory and the project has gone from the projects list!

What happened?

Try looking on the floor, I just finished a wool shirt and it ended up on the floor. Although odd how you did not put enough resources and it finished.

Is clothing always going to end up on the floor?
I was not intoxicated while I wrote this.

Yes, clothing projects are just ending after a turn whether you put resources on it or even work on it. And the clothes end up on the floor. This is something to be fixed unless Jos is allowing us to catch up for the past almost 700 days out characters have been without clothing. :D

I really hope these clothes will be removed when the bug is solved.

Seeing it as clothes are a new thing it will probably be a lucrative trade product and it is very unfair if people can stock up on these clothes without having the resources needed.

I solved the bug that caused that people did not need resources.

But what are you saying about the turns? It doesn't take the amount of time it says it does?

A pair of clogs is suppose to take 2 days to build, correct? It took one turn to build (meaning -1 or -2 turn not a day)

I don't get it :( ... I have been looking into the database, and everything looks as it should be ... But it's clearly a bug, and a bad one ...

The amount of clothes popping up in the middle of nowhere is getting to be a bit much.

Does the implementation differ from normal resources in some way? I got the impression it does, so perhaps it would be a good idea to examine the differences?

Looking at the "clothes" object in the Objects database, it has nothing in the build requirements, could that cause it? Elsewhere it has stuff about subtables in it

I suggest you go out with this officially in the game site and then remove all current clothes from the game.

I have seen several silk shirts in different locations and they require much time to make...

Yes, what is with those white silk shirts suddenly appearing in a lot of places?

Probably because the silk shirts, reed skirts, and sandals are the only clothing that didn't require tools to make and people could then, because of the bug, make one in a turn.

But you need silk cloth for a shirt. Unless there is a bug with that too then I don't thing it was possible to make silk cloth up until today or yesterday.
