Though I’d drop by and stir up some discussion, or maybe express how my homework has driven me away with it‘s researching and writing and all that jazz. Either way I revived a dead topic i read a couple months ago, and graced it with my post.

Based on the limited geographical, political, and relational knowledge that I have achieved through a few months of Cantr experience this is the Fantasy Government I have constructed.

President - Jules Vernes
Senator - HowTo
Council (4 members) - Starn, Hannah Romain, Donny El Potatoe, Tammy Snowe
Head Guard - Gloria Morningstar
Guards (3 members) - Seth Bero, Jack de Dragon, Dusty Rose
Banker - Nunni

Cheer, jeer, laugh or cry, that’s what I was able to come up with. I think it would be a city with personality and a lot of ambition, but not so much infighting or insanity that it would fall apart.

Isn't Howto the mute that draws essays in the dirt?

And Seth would try to usurp the government and get fired after telling neighboring cities he brings greetings of peace, not plans of war, from his home town.
Reality was never my strong point.

President - Jeremiah Thistlethwaite (or, more modestly, Zady Zwellinger)
Senator - Amon Bigsby
Council (4 members) - Goram Yoful, Rick O'Shea, Kaiyuu Meisora, *
Head Guard - Sester Gartaf
Guards (3 members) - Ray Jefferson, John Locke, Dangle Valentine
Banker - Elmert Fudd (or, less modestly, Jonathan Russell)

* = I forgot the name ... Guy that ran a big corporation in Quillanoi, always called himself 'we', played by Solfius ...

It's incredible how many chars in Cantr I really don't know :) ... So this is probably an odd list.

Several people above I don't even know well, so I might misjudge them :) ... Most difficult was filling up the guards list.

And I spent way too much time on this! ;) It's funny to dig in memories of Cantr, though.

See if you can wrap your head around this one ...

President:
Councilors:
Gaurds - Everyone
Senator:
Banker:

There's no laws, no leader, no precisly an anarchy either, almost communist, just everyone working to help everyone's lives get better. People listen to who they respect and everyone respects each other.

Follow the person you think know's what they're doing. And anyone hurting the community dies in two hours in r/l. Think that would work?

I would like to take a moment to point out a grammatic flaw. Councillors and Counsellors. A char of mine had a field day mocking the Counsellors of Puk...namely because a Counsellor is someone who watches kids at day camp or offers legal advice. Councilors are the fellows who run towns.

BTW, I'm not too sure on what society would have a President, Senator, and a Council....seems a bit extreme, Im not sure how much would get done.

My updated list, since I apparently posted the first one on this topic, would be:

Chieftain: Lord Angus MacGregor
Administrator: Darlina MacGregor
Banker: Jennie MacGregor
Ambassador: Seven MacGregor
Chief Guards: Patrick MacGregor, Gee MacGregor, Michael MacGregor, Harris MacGregor, Ripcord MacGregor, Kevin MacGregor, et cetera
Surgeon General: Doctor Kard

Why? Because it works.

Simple, invest the power into only one of the entities. (e.g. Parliament and Monarchy in England)

But to expand on your latter point, the ego-butting would probably be troublesome in a lot of the suggested governments.

Good one Missy for bringing a new perspective into this.

Hmm, have I suggested a list here? *scratches head* I don't think so... The problem with most leaders and town officials is that they're all so damn sleepy! Some are awake but too soft.

Ain't that our average small town? Maybe a forest location. There might be no written laws and no government but if a newspawn comes to steal notes or bones, they all turn into a pack of wolves - guards.

It's not that I'm a big fan, but at least he's able to read the law ;)

I presume you mean where in Cantr? The only place I know of with all of those is Quillanoi - the list must be taken from there. And the system works, imho, but perhaps it's true that not much gets done ;) ... The idea of the founder was that the town leaders should not take lead in all productivity etc. anyway, but that that should be left to individual entrepeneurship.

I know, it never quite worked out ;) ... I still think it's the coolest constitution in Cantr, though, fafaik, and with little modesty ;) ... Simply because it's the only place in Cantr where you can play decent democratic politics.

Personally, I would fill the bolded word in with "bureaucratic" opposed to "democratic." ;) Then again, I haven't been back to that place in over 25 years.

Maybe I should have answered the random survey that I answered today in my account with "criminal" instead of "Entrepeneur".
