There's a lot of empty sea around the land masses, you can sail for fourty days in a fast boat without hitting land. Someone here sailed for something like 500 days, right? That's a lot of guesswork.

There are two original continents; The one with Quillanoi, Siom, Ladvicitavoi, Cantr City etc...

The other one with Krif, Drojf, Seatown, Pok, Olipifirovash, etc...

The others came later.

RKL, if I was hypothetically going to bribe you into showing me the world map, hypothetically, what would I hypothetically need to give you?

zigzactly!

The promised lands are what many characters know it as, and they wouldn't have known it as fu-put unless they got it from the forums...

Anyways, you can always encourage *BRIBE* Jos into releasing the maps.

The Island I and another character discovered took 20 Cantr Years (400 days) to get to.

It is fittingly called "Scarab Island". That brings this thread back on topic.

There's an island with scarabs a lot closer to one of the original two islands. One of my character is exploring it right now, or at least was doing that until 4 days ago...

Yes, and rumor has it that the directions in your publication are wrong. I'll be finding out shortly if that's the case...

20 years!? I get bored just sailing from one town to the next. :P

What's it like being stuck with only one other person that long? It seems like you'd run out of things to say after a few days since nothing ever happens at sea, and maybe go insane or pick a fight over something stupid just because it's more interesting than sleeping all the time. Either that or fall in love. :D

But seriously, are most of the islands that far apart? I've got a char who's thinking of going exploring, I was just going to pick a random direction, but I don't want them to starve.

I doubt you'll have as poor luck as we did. We punched each other a lot and just sat there.

Thankfully there are other characters to play when you're waiting that long.

i am on one of these islands and have been searching for signs of life to no avail. been there for at least 3 years now with nothing. and scarabs are VERY hard to kill, i haven't got one yet with my pickaxe.

Needs a little tweaking, but nothing that can't be handled. Worked well for me.

Since we're all starting to brag, let me just say I have a char with the biggest discovery since boats. But he hasn't gotten a chance to publish yet, so it needs to be hush hush in forums.

The longest fruitless sailing was mine, leaving the siom area on a boat loaded with carrots. He sailed for atleast a real life year if not more. He finally found a continent and sailed around it with no where to dock until he starved. I don't remember the date he left and the date he died, I never was the log keeping type.

He died?? That's pretty sad indeed. I've often been watching that ship sailing :) ... If he kept maps he's the only one who knows .... certain things :) ...

The name Fu Put does not come from the forums, I believe, but there was good reason to give that island that name for a group of characters :). That name was used in a major town to describe the island, so one would expect that name to stick around even without forums.
