Or am I losing it? Somebody else said that was never the case. But I seem to remember a big debate about it when it was going to be implemented.

Or maybe I am just losing it.

Violence was banned for a little bit around the 200s in Cantr due to people cheating which created the you can only hit once a day rule.

Remember when...

There was no knocking

Animals did not exist

You knew what the Commonwealth of Blojt was

You knew who Al-Abhol was

You knew who Craktar was

You knew who Cliff is

You know the address to the old Cantr Yahoo! Group and actually posted in there before the spammers took it over

You know who Mikey is

You know who Tech is

Cantr was all contained on one page (now you have to real old to remember this)

You know who Donna Trent was

You know who Pirog is

You know who Thomas is

You were involved in Ladvicitavoi's take over of Naron

You were there when Maynard took over Drojf

You were involved in the war between Seatown Warriors and the Smoke Jaguars

Your character created the Silver Knights of Southern Moku

Dragging wasn't possible

You remember what the Dark Legion was

You remember who the Xirian Rebels were

You know you're old when your character was killed by Craktar. '

Your character worked for Lord Tony Stewart of Northern Blit Forest.

You knew Lord Tony Stewart before he was a lord and when he owned the wood shop.

When babies was first suggested!

When you couldn't hunt animals and the animal symbol on your page was just for looks.

When there was no furniture to be built

When there were no clothes to wear.

When people ran around shuddering in fear from Cathy on the PD.

When West pulls out an e-mail and says ..."Back in the day....you wrote this to me"

When it was common to have a war with dung forks instead of sabres.

When a wooden shield had more value.

When people were locked up for being asleep or simply being spawned.

When Tircqi was actually mentioned!

When reading the suggestion forum has become more a chore. You been there done that and own the t-shirt for the suggestions on the suggestion forum. (This is not to discourage people from suggesting btw lol)

When there were far far less forum members/posters for the forum.

When all the roads out of the commonwealth, Siom, still needed it's first layer of sand.

If you remember Ima Pig from Siom, Theodore, Doc Evazan, Terry and Poiseden from Pok.

When the game existed in one languge.
I hate people.

When you can remember the first time Bandit's Crew razed Moku's coast.
1099-5: Bandit says: "Collect a sum of 100 000g of sand to offer me in tribute or I will kill you."

When you remember the great cataclysm that rent a huge shift in time.....

When you remember when Cantr City became a ghost town, and Alenz Hills was in their hayday.

When you realize you haven't had a life for almost three years.

When everyone suddenly realized they were naked :P

I don't believe that one qualifies.

Woah, I was going to bring that one up Nick. There wasn't even a button to hit until the 80s or later I'm pretty sure. My first chars were in the 60s. I don't think there was even organized violence until after 100ish, and dungforks were deadly weapons.
How about, you know you're an oldbie if you remember before knocking and dragging?

  These threads make me jealous/relieved... I'm definitely a "Midbie", having been playing strong since the 700's.

Firmly entrenched in the game by this point, but alas never to have known the glories of the first generation of Cantr.

You know you just missed out on being an oldbie when:

Your first character dies due to a HUGE increase in animal numbers and aggressiveness.

In your wanderings you come across people violently defending their rights to finish off abandoned raw iron gathering projects.

You remember with amazement as the high-tech weapons expand beyond just sabres and crossbows.

You spawn on K-isle hearing about these people called Ace Grant and Haily Blerks who just died.

You don't know who the heck any of rklenseth's old characters are, and you just have to hope that you don't end up having to talk about your characters long after they're dead just to ensure that their memory lives on like he does in "oldbie" topics.

Waaaaaah you're making me feel like a newbie... No, this is happy tears... But I totally remember my first days... Yeah and there were still two iron projects left... on Blaman mountains... and they let me finish the other one, a couple of repeats, I think it was 57 grams of iron per repeat. I miss Slaid and Loifred. *sniff*

When you think Cantr City, Quillanoi, and Tircqi are the capitals of the game;

When you keep dreaming of the good old days of the Ladvicitavoi Empire;

When you remember wondering whether we'd ever have more than 10 players;

When you remember wondering whether it would be a cool idea to write an online version of the lego game ... ;)
