Hunger

Postby nitefyre » Wed Oct 12, 2005 9:32 pm

Does it go completely the first time you eat again, or only gradually once you start to eat again (and if so, at what rate)?

Your hunger bar recovers slowly while you eat (so you can't eat once every 20 days and still survive). I don't know how fast it recovers though.

Well, if you're one day without eating and eat on the next day, you don't quite get full health so I'd guess it's about two days of eating makes you recover from one day of starvation.

If you don't eat, you lose 5% hunger. Or gain 5% hunger. Whatever. You get the point. After going hungry for a while, you gain 3% back when you start eating again. So if you went hungry for three days, it'd take five days to have your hunger bar empty again.

So. =) If you whant to save your food you should eat 5 out of 8 days to stay helthy. Maybe if you eat more it should make you fat in the meaning that you got fat in yout inventore that you couldent put down. The only way to get rid of it was to starve for a while.

Indeed... Now how come we can't eat healing foods to remove hunger? At least when you're not wounded.

You only need to eat 2/3 of the time to remain perfect.
It's a waste to eat every day. Especially for sailors.

Just noticed somebody posted incorrect ratios (or at least for when I played)

You gain 2 hunger for not eating, lose 1 hunger for eating.

Hence, you starve yourself one day, go to 2% hunger, and then eat 2 days in a row to get back to 0.

Repeat as necessary.

This rule is KEY when sailing. Difference between your ship having food for 20 years, or for 30.
