This maybe my first time responding to your posts, Dee, but I don't mind having another person that could be sensitive as me to stay. Do try to move on with lessons in mind; that's how I'm going through. Also, see my signature below.

Pfft, this is the problem with forums.
Little men who think they're so f***cking tough 'cause they're a little literate (some not so much) and they unethically and unmorally rip people to shreds from flaming them etcetera.
A perfect example of this superiority is Cookiemonster, who feels all safe at his computer and free to call me a Clitoras. You see, the difference in the REAL world is I'd probably get a baseball bat and smash him in the face. Well, not really, but people like him definately need a reality check.
The only reason, I stress this, the only reason I continued to post on the forums when I started playing, is because I thought this was one of those 'good' calm forums with mature adults.
No, it has immature adults, and even worse teenagers.
It's these kinds of people who go LOOKING for fights, or go LOOKING for ways to pick up on people's mistakes or errors, like Sho, who believe they're ultra-uber-tough as what they say is simply a pixel and they're safe behind a computer.
Little do these small men realise they're not only hurting sensitive people, but they're hurting REAL people in the REAL world, not little pixels like Cantr, or Counter Strike, or whatever games these immature, rude, crude, fight-finding, uncaring bastards are.
My suggestion, Dee, is not to come back. If you don't want these god damn flamers, keep as far from them as you can. They will ALWAYS be here, whether it's a new player or not.
Don't listen to them, don't come back. Make small, far apart posts like me, that still satisfies the need to know what's going on in the community...
Yeah, it still is pretty bad that these bastard forumers can do such a thing.
Don't take this the wrong way, some of you are absoloutely great, and can get your opinion across without abusing the person in the process. Others are the ones I'm talkin' bout.

Leaving even though a department member?
I'm a teenager and I don't make people feel bad! (though I don't really count)
*flys away from all the bad words* Though I left chat because everyone was making fun of me and my religion. In chat, when that happens, there's no point of being there.
By the way, I don't want you to leave but its your choice.

Theartis..... I'm also a teenager (like josh here) and well... i don't think what you just said makes you look any better than the flamers out there... i'd rather be insulted, as i think i'm mature enough to overlook it, rather than have my skull fractured. Violence, or structured arguments...

Maybe the "real world" isn't so good then.

Not all department members are equally active on the forums, and that is not necessarily a requirement. She says she wants to stay involved with Cantr, so I certainly hope she'll stay involved as staff member too.
Dee, I hope my contributions to the discussion did not help you towards this decision. You're a valued member of the Cantr community, and it's saddening to see this thread. We differ on some issues / values that we bold hold very dear, so it easily gets tense when discussing them, but we do totally agree on things related to Cantr and things related to being nice to each other

Should I say what you know I am thinking? Or have you got my point by now?Jos Elkink wrote:Not all department members are equally active on the forums, and that is not necessarily a requirement. Okay, I'm very sorry for going off topic here and I won't continue this any further after this, but I can't something like this without replying:
I don't know whether to laugh or go into a blinding rage about how amazingly hypocritcal not just the quoted part, but the entire post is, because this is exactly what I thought when I first joined, at least until I started reading your posts, became the recipient of a "F*** YOU" PM for attacking one of your characters, etc. What ever happened to practicing what you preach?
(I'd deletign a couple of paragraphs here because I don't want this to turn into a huge rant in somebody elses thread...basically I'm just sick of Thetaris and I don't know why he still posts if he has nothing constructive to do except get angry accuse everyone else of doing the exact same things he does all the time)
But other than Thetaris and a couple of others that remind me of him sometimes, I think this is still a pretty good forum, at least compared to some of the others I've been on.

I agree with Marian, there are always a few people who are mean.

I say turn and go for it. If I may try to speak as one of the forum greats here.... These forums is whack, yo! (I really do miss having kinvoya around
)
Your life will be much sweeter and fulfilling if you limit your exposure to pointless debates and feats of jackassery that go on here. And your enjoyment of characters will be much better once you don't have to listen to every little movement, statement, and event analyzed like an Olympic urine sample to the point where all charmm and magic are sucked from them.
Fly away! Be free!
Of course that is just my opinion. I am sure somebody will point out why I am wrong.

Hello Wichita! I think I get your point.
Though I don't know if that means she should go or not, or just partly.
