How about if when characters get old and older they recover less and less from tiredness each day. Eventually, when they get old enough, they won't recover at all unless they rest. Doing things could also give more tiredness than it does for not-old people.
Perhaps they would later even gain tiredness from nothing. The amount of tiredness gained would increase as they grow even older. At some point they would no longer be able to recover even when resting (e.g. inadequate resting furniture or they're so old even the best won't do anymore), just slow down the amount they gain.
Then there could be a check that checks if the tiredness is at 100% and if it stays there for, say, twenty days then the character dies.

How about...
We just leave it the way it is? We don't need any ageing affects, adverse or otherwise.
Programming have far more interesting and useful projects that they work on... leave this one well alone...
