Ah, cumtabai?
(probably miss-spelled it, but... there's a good chance if you know any Papiamentu that you recognize it. Besides, until not that long ago there wasn't even written Papiamentu, so... bite me for misspelling! )

A language, obviously. Not that I knew anything about it but I entered "seko" in the ever-useful Webster's Online Dictionary (Rosetta Edition) and it said that seko is dry in Papiamentu. And Google reveals that "Papiamentu is the local language of the ABC Islands -
Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao".

Papiamentu is a mixture of Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, English, French, and it also has some Arawak Indian and African influences. Papiamentu is one of the few Creole Languages of the Caribbean that has survived to the present day.

Come to think of it, those island names sound oddly familiar.

Metallica, Shexy something or other, etc.

There's so many... i remember i saw one that was referring to genitalia. Those are just gross.

I tend to go with scottish names, my beginning charries have just normal names that i liked.

I either make up my character names or if I'm feeling lazy I'd put two names together from http://www.20000-names.com/ . Though I prefer to make up my own, they are usually more interesting.

I'm not sure if I posted before, I don't think I did and I can't be bothered checking, but I hate names used from books. If you use a first name, that's not so bad, but if you just copy a full name from your favourite fantasy book then anyone else who's read that book would know what to expect from you (or expect you to act like that character). Plus it's just plain unoriginal.

You are almost as lazy as pie is bad at spelling.

I thought of it in chat this afternoon. I always thought Memorex was a horrible character name, like someone just looked around the desktop and stumbled across a pack of blank CDs and voila.

Very nice little character. :) Chauncey kind of misses having him in the old repair shop.

This isn't really on topic, but you're right. Take this Restaurant for example; I can't help but laugh every time i see this.

charactor

Postby mtm21 » Sun Mar 12, 2006 3:06 pm

Eric Travis! I have killed that guy so many times with most of my charactors and he still comes crawling back for more. I usually only kill him if he broke some laws and these Eric Travis's do. They are sly so watch out!
