Multiplicity

Postby Daimen » Wed Feb 01, 2006 3:24 am

I have a great many of the same note in my posession. I wish to clean these up but it will take a great deal of personal and game resources to do this. I wonder if perhaps there is an admin who could help out?

Character's name is Rico Marvoula in Quillanoi and he is holding literally hundreds of notes. Many have the very same title and no subject. Can we delete the extras? I don't think that this was a bug, but it is a nuisance just the same...

Stick 'em in an envelope called "trash" or similar.

That would take him a great deal of time, it sounds like. That's why my chars carry that many notes, though the titles are all different.

Daimen, can you tell me the circumstances why he is carrying so many of the same note? Did he pick up a ton created by a note bomber? It will be difficult to delete them with no title, but I might be able to find a way, if you can give me a rather obscure word that might be held in the text of the note.

Yes a note bomber I believe you could call it...

I do hold a large number of notes myself and I do use envelopes, these however were not of my making and indeed it will take me a great amount of time and energy to place all of these notes into an envelope as I had intended.

There is no text in the note, only the title:

"THE OWNER OF HOUSE #1 KILLED ME SO HE WOULDNT HAVE TO PAY ME"

All but one are gone now, Daimen. It says I deleted 89, but I swear it was closer to 300. :x

If you have any idea of the name of the character who dropped all these, that would be helpful so I can speak to the player about it.

Alcyone, I believe. This was way back, around 1140-1145.

That is, unless Amon Bigsby killed more than one employee . . . heh heh. But no, I think I remember seeing these notes dropped by Alcyone. Nick will know for sure.

Actually, there were 339 of them. That I deleted. Four left in envelopes, and 1 other, makes 344 notes he dropped in total.

Thanks for the info, Sho. I didn't realize this happened so long ago.

Long ago, and far far away...

Postby Daimen » Thu Feb 02, 2006 1:39 pm

Yes, I wouldn't be surprised if Amon had killed multiples. He was accused of another before his death and now we have found out about this one...though the city as a whole doesn't yet know about it...

I never trusted him, especially after the mysterious deaths he kept "finding" but there was no evidence then to charge him. Anyway, thanks for your help in clearing up those notes!!

Wasn't this the person who used their other character to tell the people in town to investigate the house after the worker had been murdered - even though there was no in-character way of knowing a crime had happened, and also had previously been trading among her/his own characters (twice if I recall right)?
