It would be interesting to see a priosner transport device that would allow people to move prisoners from a location to a centralized jail.

A van works, I think. Piers Anthony used one that way. But I think the prisoner can hit the driver.

Someone suggested a van with a partition, which would be perfect for this. Or some form of restraints.

A van with built in pillory

such a thing exists. the van!... now all we need are partitioned vehicles so that the prisoners can beat the driver...

edit: oh he beat me to it.

I suggested that in some vehicles the driver is separate from the passenger/cargo area, and that would make sense in Cantr also.

Maybe extend it to boats as well, like even longboats must have had some kind of covered space in it? if not then other boats yes

Actually, I think the Vikings had to rough it without anything but blankets the way the square sailed longboats were designed... maybe the captain had quarters... I'm sure someone will come along with the right answer... There are a lot of Norsemen on this forum.

Nope, no quarters or anything like that on a longboat. Only the succesor to the longboat (the Cog) had those. New shiptype in Cantr? :D

Well, ferries I would expect to have a covered area, unless I'm thinking of the wrong kind of ferry....
