Re: Finally, Chapter 1 of my Cantr Epic

Postby Cookie » Tue Jan 24, 2006 7:22 pm

The your writing style is similar to a shopping list. ...no offence.

For example.

Chapter 1 wrote:The dense forest provided very little area to manuever in. The trees were ancient, probably standing for several hundred years if not a thousand. The world grew up beneath the canopy of thick green and brown and now it thrived. The birds sang and wild cats laid in wait above the leaf littered floor. Deer pranced around and every now and then a moose could be heard calling in the distance for a lover.

Descriptive content needs narative too you know. Otherwise you might aswell be reading...a shopping list.

Put it this way. Don't know why your bothering to write an 'epic.'

Focus your spare time on other things, I'm sure you have other talents. Try taking up the fiddle.

Well, I guess you're right. I always thought I was a good writer but everytime I write it would never seem right. Well at least I have other hobbies.

Oh, come on, Cookie. You've read it and given your opinion. You don't have to read it again if you don't want to. That was a completely uncalled for and rude post.

I'm not going to read it again. And I was kidding.d
But for the record, I could do way better!
To be honest I never said he should take it down.

WHAT??? Are you going to stop writing just because one person didn't like what you wrote? (And I agree, he dislikes everything)

C'mon, be fair and give us a chance to judge your work!!

As of this time I think it would be best not to release it. I'm sorry if some of you wanted to read it but right now I am going toward another option instead.

It may, depending on the other option, be available for reading in the future.

Sorry to everyone who wanted to read it. And to those that don't, well you can join Monster in watching paint dry.
