so, not sure if there are any like "get to know ya" kinda threads around here.....but i just made a character for the game yesterday....a bit confused, but hopefully i'll fumble thru it

an it looks like a real active community here so thats great :)
soon (hopefully) ya'll know an love me :P

Just don't pick up things and run. Put the note down and back away slowly, don't smile too wide as they might find baring teeth as a hostile gesture.

yes... please do use correct Punctuation and grammar cause as you can see it does get quite annoying here i mean look at my grammar its disgraceful its actually quite difficult to type like this on purpos oh my god im running out of things to say.

yeah so Capital Letters, Full stops and you'll blend right in! oh and... don't make up a history of your character, that might just get you in trouble... unless of course your character is just lying anyway ;)

Yeah, I totally hate it when you know they must be making things up but you just gotta act along because otherwise there would be loads of characters accused of lunacy, including most of my early ones.

hmm....right....i'll keep all that character advice in mind....

and i'm a student working on a couple bachelor's degrees atm, so i enjoy breaking the rules of grammar in my spare time :P sorry seko

It full annoys everyone if people do not use good grammar.

And if you have your characters do it, people assume they are stupid. I don't know why, it just happens.

Welcome :) Everyone here has issues, whether they admit it or not (the half like Schme are worth ignoring).

My quirk is wanting my characters be cherished for all time and not be forgotten when I'm gone, so I think we'll get along fine. ;)

West, another fine but infrequent oldbie, calls it egoism. I prefer the term legacy.

My issues are all petty and teen-angst related. Well, most of 'em are.

And yes, my title was self-given. I wanted a title. So I gave it to myself. Deal with it.

grrl, you were worried with hunger in the other topic? Takes 20 days to starve to death so there's no terrible rush in finding food, unless your character landed on a desert.

Now that you mentioned it, there is no "new to Cantr/forums sticky" like on other forums...

Oh, and as much as spelling and punctuation issues are common peeves to players and posters, check Pie's post count and you'll realize you have nothing to worry about... :wink:

um...i've never really used irc or whatever before, always sorta been an msn grrl (so please feel free to pm me w/ an msn addy an help me out) but i thought i'd give it a try an i guess i can't get it to work :(
