The reason is not only for peaceful people.
An unarmed settlement would probably lose half their population if one of the nastier creatures walked in there...but scaring the animal away could be a more effective defence.

I really, really want to have a polar bear skin on the floor here in front of the fire. One of those with the head still attached to it. But where to get one of those? i heard they are sold in Greenland, but that's not a place I usually go to.

Tried to turn one of my dead hamsters but they're too smaal. I've collected enough dead hamster skins to make half a glove of. I think i'll just wait untill our cat dies.

And i dont think scaring animals away would be a good idea anyway. Whats wrong with killing them? cmon, it's a game...

I have enough dead chinchillas to make a pair of gloves, I think. But they're all buried in my back yard so the skins aren't still good.

Besides, I'm against chinchilla fur.
My chinchilla is DA BOMB.

Nah, for the bodypart you have in mind, i am waiting for the cat to die. Hmm... maybe stop feeding it will speed-up the process a bit?
On the other hand. That part of me is never cold really. Ill save the cat for a nice hat. I can leave the tail on then.

like an american coon-skin cap

which, by the way, are horribly tacky.

and my current chinchilla is the last one...i fed him out of a bottle. I'm not shipping his skin to the Netherlands when he dies.

There is a group here that is really enthusiastic about ruining topics with meaningless chatter...I wonder if they can spot themselves?

And I still think that if you want to get rid of animals you should kill them. maybe meaningless to you, but thats my opinion. Basta. If you want to avoid meaningless chatter: dont visit the forum. Thank you.

vegetarians would disagree that killing is the way to deal with animals.ou can herd etc animals in RL, why not in Cantr?

I avoid the Non-Cantr forum to avoid meaningless chatter, the suggestions forum is for stuff about improving the game, not about epridermy and other uses of dead animals.
