No Message without Something Being Typed in first

Postby Crosshair » Wed Jan 18, 2006 6:01 pm

Would it be hard to implement a similar working to that of msn messanger, where if you have no message, you cannot send it? I have a rather slow internet, and when i accidently do things liek that, i have to wait for the page to load up again and its just a pain, so would it be difficult to blank out the talk button when there is nothing in the field?

Edited for thread title. -rklenseth

I agree, it's rather embarassing when the corner of the mousepad hits the enter key on the num-pad and you post a blank or even two!

Or an unfinished sentense! That's happened to me. But in that case, it's a "stupid"-lock that's needed on my computer. ;)
More seriously, the original suggestion is good and I support it.

I do too, but to be honest it saves time and when people cough after that, it makes me cringe.

Notice how weak and petty we are / In the grand fixture we come afar / Hey we can't help it / No denying the prerequisite for love / Your very existence / You're the source of my substenance / Slow down take your time and feel the / Flow

Erm... *coughs* Heh, sorry for posting these two messages. This one was actually a blank before too; accidently double-clicked the submit button, just like in Cantr.

I use blank messages to indicate a loss for words, but it is true that more often than not, it's an accident.
