Its all a neat idea but even after glancing through the earlier suggestions I can't see a very practical IG use for them.

Right, the conditions that would merit the needs for tents have yet to be put in, I guess this a further on down the line sort of thing.

Hell, i'd like a tent for a character... it would make more sense, cause when people first settle in a place, they dont build a great big fat building, they will live in a lil teepee for a while...

It wouldn't make sense to use it as a moble base camp, though, since you can't move the machinery that you'd probably want to take with you.

I could see it as something that a hunter or resource gatherer would want. They could take it with them wherever they go, and use it for resting. They wouldn't have to use a local cot or build one everywhere they go. This could be taken care of with a simpler object that could be carried in the inventory, like a sleeping bag or bedroll. Those would make more sense than a mobile camp.

I miss the pain-in-the-ass tiredness system. I liked how it was implemented. Now it's useless except when fighting.

Ditto. And I will keep saying it until we get it back to 65.5% of the strength it was before. Then it will be perfectly balanced.

Large bones and hide for use as building materials

Postby Lyd » Sat Jan 20, 2007 11:39 pm

I have charries in several towns where the carnage from animals piles up very quickly. What if large bones and hide could be used to make lodges or other shelters: temporary or permanent?

Sounds to me like what "tents" of Cantr would really be is carriable higher than 15K storage used to prevent decay with a highish end initial input.

yea, basically.

And also to get some safety from the animals.

and to have boy scouts.

.....

and it would previde temporary shelter to the average explorer.

I am creating a image in my mind....men..these tents will be a great advantage when the siege weapons be implemented...hehe It remembers me the roman camps.

2134-99-Cap'n Lucius says:Hail Ceasar Captain!

2134-99-Cap'n Lucius says:On the top of the hill.Tell Ceasar that we are almost ready to invade the city, but the fire ballistas are not ready. You may go.

2134-98-You say:Cap'n where should I start the camp?

Yeah...I'm really watching "Rome" too much..
