There are no paints anywhere. I don't think it matters, though... if someone has the time and dedication to make a portrait like that one, more power to them! Look at ancient cultures... they all had art. Painting, sculpting, it was all there.

This post is mostly a bump. Seeks, are you still up to drawing a picture or two? I tried to myself but I've got no skill at all.

Yeah, I can always try, just poke me with a good description. I'm currently working on one, it's almost ready.

About art in Cantr, there's coal, and on K- island there's blueberries and blackberries. I think limestone might be made in to chalk powder. If you keep a twig in the firepit for a while, the head gathers soot and you can use it for drawing. Crushing plants might give a dim shade of olive green. Boiling onion peels gives yellow dye, and if you dare to imagine dandelions, you can rub their flowers against a note to make yellow. When Maline was still alive, I imagined her to use natural colours and therefor the selection was rather limited.
IRL I've tried rubbing colour with dandelions, weeds and red currants. Also tried making ink by boiling harebells in vinegar but the colour was very pale and the stench was horrible...
