Thanks for the memories...

Postby boomhaeur » Thu Jan 12, 2006 2:23 pm

Hey guys,

Life has just gotten super-busy recently and I just haven't been able to keep up with the life my characters had created for themselves. I've had a fun two years+ playing the game with virtually all my characters remaining intact the entire time (all 10 were 50+).

It was a sad moment when I saw the flurry of "so-and-so has died" emails this morning. My chars have all been pretty quiet for a month or so, so many probably won't even notice they're gone.

Cantr's a great game and I wish it all the best going forward.

on behalf of:

Muldy Bread - died happy knowing Margaret would lead SFN to continued prosperity
John-Jacob Smith-Jones - died happy, he finally found another island and completed his life's quest. He never expected to go home again. His last thought was of Kandy, what might of been and hoping she would be ok.
Itwuz Orwuzzntit - died content after living a scavenger's life - even scavenged a tandem bike! Lived largely as a hermit but became close friends with some town leaders.
Arthur Anderson - escaped Naron by stowing away on a boat, lived a great life with the stone knights exploring the island by Motorcycle, he died after finding a massive stash hidden in the mountains. He found the adventure he was looking for.
Mighty Bosstone - A Brave Warrior who never got to fight
Zack McKracken - He had his bike and Holly didn't, that was all he cared about in the end
Bona Fide - Survived the sickness many times, discovered the cure
Rimple - suicided a month ago - he was never really happy and never felt at home, even though he had great friends
Tipsy McClure - died a month ago from deliberate starvation, never really went anywhere, he was just as disinterested in me as I him.
Boomhaeur - died a couple months ago from accidental starvation. One of my first but never liked him. Odd how that is.

I played Judge Daniel Malarky (SFN-so many years ago, forgotten by the massacre no doubt) and Nurie Bocke (your stowaway captain). Salud.

I knew the character Boomhaeur. :) Too bad the storage and trailer park never worked out.

Actually the Massacre stayed in many people's memories for some time, but yes, sadly with Muldy's death SFN is essentially a town made up of virtually all post-massacre citizens.

Nurie saved Arthur's life - it was a wonderful adventure and I had some of my most fun playing him as we toured the island teaching people the ways of "War Tag". He also encountered Thomas Hobbes in that journey. Ah the memories :)[/quote]

Poor Arthur, now he'll never get to see the blood of more foes run with his warband buddies. *sad*

I also met the trio of Stone Knights with both Guardian John Locke and Lord Angus MacGregor, though briefly. It was a pleasure playing with you, and that's a rare compliment coming from me. :)

Both Jaqueline Courtenay and Francesca Foscari met Arthur Anderson, and of course Wat Walworth knew the sleepier Muldy Bread. I can't say Wat will miss Muldy much, but I'm sorry such a fun Stone Knight has been lost to us.

Yeah, they never seemed to get off on the right foot much. Muldy was an interesting character to play for a while. He kind of got the town dumped in his lap when Bill & the other leader dropped dead one day and he could never get into a groove to keep things running smoothly.

Keiran was spawned in that forest. Muldy gave him potatoes, but just once. Promised to give him cooked meat later but didn't, so he got bored and went to Siom. Anyway, I bet Margaret will be the perfect leader, if only she doesn't get over-stressed.

Margaret is great - I'm sure the town will do well under her.
