How did your chars die?

Postby Seeker » Sat Jan 07, 2006 5:16 am

How did some of those chars, the ones you treasured, die? Seeing as I haven't seen one char die from old age yet, most important chars must have died other ways. One thing I would like to know is how some of those early leaders died when their city still continues to work under the same government.

The only interesting death I've had was when one of my chars (a charity worker) was kidnapped by a madman on a boat. Another died because he went mad and killed an injured woman gathering healing food. (Sorry about that, my char couldn't resist... ).
Those are the only interesting deaths I have, everyone else just died from starvation.

I've only had one die, and that was when their group was surprised and attacked. And it was a slaughter house...

Judge Daniel Malarky (his name was changed from something else, which I forgot) was massacred in Siom Forest North.

Private Thomas Paine was killed when deserting with a bunch of Lad Empire supplies for the Sjoftich colony.

Mercenary Tanya Beliz was killed when stealing a ship with no real intent or plan.

Sergeant Wen Kroy committed suicide so he would not be the third wheel of a relationship and make way for the couple, dying the true romantic he always was (I cannot but help think Casablanca).

Companion Thomas Siefring was killed when standing up to a bunch of arrogant DoUrdens and Alenz personnel preying upon his friend.

Scriptor Cesium Larthus committed suicide after entering a relationship he just didn't have the juices for and was nearly raped (the sick people who play Cantr).

There's more, but I forget their stories and names in many cases. Many of those I listed died before the 1000s.

Oh and there's also Captain Thomas Hobbes, who committed editorial suicide because of the passing of his lifelong companion and confidante, in order to combat the spectres and ghosts that were on Sring Sri

My only interesting death was on the K-island, a long time ago, my old account. She had left Kwor, wandered around, ended up in Karnon. She was minding my own business when all of sudden she's dragged into jail, subjected to a very confusing interrogation, and asked to drop everything she owns. I was wondering what the hell was going on, as she didn't belong to an organization of any kind, but I didn't have much time to ponder. There was an impromptu execution a few days later. The mystery remains unsolved.

Wow, that is a weird death. Sounds like your char was involved in some government conspiracy without knowing about it.

Leeroy!

Man I loved playing that guy, chewing up the english language and spitting it out like chaw.

Bear, Tiger Tiger. Burgeo is not a fun place without a shield. At least they got turkeys.

The first one I had die, from my first account, accidentally came upon a slavery center in some mountains... he was just a hermit looking for a desolate place to live... but.. they thought he'd go and tell others about them so they chased him down and killed him... he might've gotten away if I'd realized what was happening a little sooner, but I had become lax in checking my account. He wasn't really a favourite but he's the first one that died from anything other than starvation. None of the others from that account died horribly.

My first one that died from this account was a favourite though, and she was brutally locked up and murdered in the quiet place she called home by TBR for crimes she was innocent of. She was so innocent she didn't even know what TBR was until it was too late to know what they could do.

Ehmm... another one was going to become a pirate.. but got killed by the people she was imprisoned with when they sensed her treachery.

And another died in a botched up takeover... which is my fault and I feel guilty for. Sorry, I don't know where my mind went when I made that stupid mistake.

That's about it for me though... as far as unusual deaths have gone. A few have starved unintentionally.

Was that Sabrina Seawitch (I think that's her name) by any chance? My char worked for her until she accidently told everyone she wanted to become a pirate.

Heh, no, she was blindsided by a pirate attack... and she was quiet... but it was rather obvious since she continually whispered with one of the pirates... she was already almost dead because of them, and the others inside just took one blow to kill her off... ah well, another fun opportunity killed off...

The only ones of mine to die are the spawn an run thieves, or ones I've asked to be killed off...

Saying that, my most successful spawn and run thief, who got herself a bike and a key to an old woman's house with loads of stuff, and eventually died from starvation, chasing another thief who stole her stolen bike...
Whoever you vote for.

Baron F (Fritter) - Killed by a posse hunting the Barons.

Ambassador Stetson - Fell asleep on his bike and starved to death

Stalun of TBR - Fell asleep and died around the same time as Stetson...very busy time for me

Donnie Frankenmyrtle - Died by the hand of animals on Burgeo after asking for help from a sailing crew of explorers that left without even verbally denying aid. In the next hour after their departure, he died.

Janus - Killed by a force of pissed off Quillanoi Forest Pirate hunters after he tried to kill the ruler of Quillanoi Lakeside for being a dork

Terrance - Once a great pirate fighter in Seatown, he died by the hand of Mary Williams for sleeping too much.

Hor - She was killed by the Stonecutters after stealing a boat and trying to claim that she traded for it. She was raped then saved by a McGregor before finally succumbing.

Dusty - Starved to death in the mountains trying to get back to civilization. His lifes mission was to build a bike to better mine the hills and not starve to death.

I had another character (forgot his name for the moment) that was dragged into the Pok Harbor Ovens and killed for the 10kg of potatoes he had. He had heard that people in the desert didn't have food and so collected as many potatoes as he could carry and thought he could trade for useful items. He didn't realize, however, that food was hard to come by but steel apparently wasn't and was killed by a group of sabre wielding hungry thieves.

No, that was Sabrina Seadragon. I was so dissapointed by dying for such a dumb mistake that I essentially reincarnated her. What a wasted opportunity too. I was actually depressed for a day. She's doing much better now, though. New life, new name, new island, different goals...but she's still a spitfire.

Some free advice to the rest of you: Never say anything privately in public that needs to stay secret. You will screw up sooner or later. (Case in point, how many times have you privately told someone their name instead of naming them?)

I remember Sabrina. Probably would've ended up joining her too, had she succeeded. Oh well...

Leila Ryan: Unknowingly found her way onto a closed-off road and was attacked by TBR for spying. She was told to turn around and return to be interrogated, and she wouldn't be killed. She turned around, and got killed anyway...

Nisira: Died in her hometown of Karnon Seaside for talking against the Blackrocks who had taken over... She was also supposedly part of an anti-TBR organisation that she had never met or seen.

Valeri Todolovski: Killed by a madman in the russian lands because she didn't know about the new emporer... Curiously since then, I haven't been able to find a single one of the maps she'd spread.

Siteka of Pok: slowly and sleepily starved (back when all health was on one bar), and then was hit during some attack and died.

Ahh... I can't remember all the others anymore...

I belive that was a long time ago. The people then said that there were free potatoes in the harbour house. before they left.
