Getting carried away...but hey!

Postby Cookie » Wed Jan 04, 2006 11:57 pm

With pregnancies, me thinks it would be a really kewl idea to have related implementations such as DNA testing and rape (crucify me!).

THink about the endless role play this would open up. For example, the people of Krif always found it funny how Sara gave birth to young Jimmy nine months after the rapeing and pillaging of their town. But they didn't expect ol' Greger Magregor turnin' up and anouncing; "Jim, I am your father!" "Nooooooooooo"(ahem). And think about all them cheating wives when the DNA tests prove the're husbands arent the father of their child and when the unhapy children go off on a lifelong journey to find their real father.

Ok, so I'm getting carried away here. But would that not just be the icing on the cake for this game! yeh!

Not wanting to anounce my total lack of confidence anyone will actually want this idea, i'll stick with the old tiny writing no one can read and a pointless...
...erm.

DNA testing would probably be more trouble to program than it's worth; it would mean storing the identities of the parents of a character, which otherwise aren't necessary, not to mention be anachronistic and awkward interface-wise.

There seems to be a consensus that rape should not be allowed in Cantr because it's not family-friendly.

Yes, but the last thing we want to do is make it worse.
