For the Barons as a whole, yes. But my character legitimately recognized "Fritter" from his youth, so he'd have been dead meat anyways.

Having a Council is fairly cliche, yes. But Kwor's system is not simply a council. The strength of Kwor comes from its delegation of power throughout society, namely the Guildmasters system being benevolently led by a rotating, elected council. And yes, it is mostly a socialist society. I think Kwor embraces that notion freely. So far, it's working like a charm.

So it seems all you oldies have seen it, done it and wore the T-shirt.
Here's one i would have liked to have seen.

The first Character to actually get a successful group of people together
to work on improving a road through a mountain.

I mean do you know how long it takes to walk those paths.
If i sent all my characters on a mountaineering walk i could easily just
have nearly a week off from cantr while they slowly plod along.

Dragging this thread gradually off topic, but is it documented how much (if at all) improving a road shortens travel times?

Documented. hmm i'm not sure.
It's just an observation on path walking with chatacters.
Mine have travelled on improvements which i have noted an odd character
do for years, but perhaps i should keep my findings on time silent.
I don't know if it's a polite way of you saying it's something that shouldn't
be talked about.
Or if it's just an option like drying dung but doesn't actually help anyone in the long run as yet.

Not quite sure what you meant in that last post, but my last post was just my odd way of saying "Does anyone know enough about this with enough confidence that I can write it into the wiki?" If the information is known, it belongs on the wiki.

I noticed that this topic has drifted away a bit, from things that any long-term player should have done/experienced (e. g. founded an organisation) to things that one player's characters have done/experienced (e. g. founded the Stone Knights, though it's not my intention to single out anybody). I would like to see this thread result in a kind of checklist that people can compare to or from which they can get ideas when wondering what they might want to try next.

Here are a couple of notches for that that I don't think have been mentioned before, or not like that.
In any area:
- played a doctor
- played a postman
- visited every location of an island
- created a visual map
- founded a clan or clan-like organisation
- killed somebody and got away with it
- visited a major city in a language area that is not your own
In the French/Dutch area:
- killed all dangerous animals in one location
In the German/Spanish area:
- made leather clothes
In the Esperanto area:
- found limestone
- killed an elephant

:) Sorry it can be a bit confusing at times on what you can and can't
talk about the game.
I have noted with a character walking on new lands with no road
improvements or unknown improvements takes a while travelling
especially when you have a fair bit to carry.
Yet on another small but well known island my character has seen
improvements being done and walked much quicker or seem to even with
carrying a lot.

I killed a rabbit with my bare fists after a year-long battle and still didn't get enough small bones to make a knife.

It might have to do with the lengths of the roads, MakeBeliever. I don't really know for sure whether road improvement increases travel speed or not. And you can talk OOC about anything that has to do with game mechanics. On the forum you can talk about IC events and characters as long as 4 days have passed after any event you're discussing, but even after 4 days, you should use discretion.

- Could identify many / most major locations without being informed of their names.
- Created a newspawn thief just to see how long he'd last.
- Could find the way to almost any general area on a major island without a map.
- Lost a character.

That's impressive. I have a character that's been to a few more than that, but he has no idea about the other main islands. That's cool.

I ate a three course meal with dessert. :D

That's my only notch really. I don't tend to do anything original or overwhelmingly fantastic. I just do everything I do well. :D

Let me see:

1. Was in a pirate crew and escaped capture and death,
2. Gave the sneezing sickness to Captain Thomas Hobbes(that ones my favorite :D ),
3. Sailed to a new continent,
4. Stole the Miss Jenny II and evaded capture for a couple years,
5. Killed two animals with my bare fists as a newspawn(luck, probably..),
6. Changed my name to govern a town,
7. Am guard captain of a town,
8. Lived at 98% damage for 5 years(before being killed by a mountain goat...)

That's all for now...
All of my endings are waiting to begin.
