What if it's all their worst bits of advice? Besides, I wouldn't take advice from 80% of the people I know.
Oh trust me, I hate my father, he's a friggin plumber, yet we're multi-millionaires, and yet in some ways, he's as smart as anything (atleast according to mummy! lol). He might be a brick wall to talk to, but I'm still learning things from him.
I doubt you know many plumbers who have three children and live in a house that's worth 1.4 million... And who has 5 factories leasing at around 30k to 120k per year (at 10% per year, so do the math).
(if you haven't noticed yet, I'm not arguing, I'm debating, if it sounds like I'm being mean, I honestly do not mean it that way, I just debate heatedly)
Besides, he's my stepfather to tell the truth (has been since I was 3, so I just call him my father, as it's easier), and I despise him, yet I could take away so much advice from the primitive ape... I mean, idiot.
To tell the truth, I don't know a single person who couldn't suggest one excellent bit of advice from their life experience.
Also, that quote is based solely on the advice-giver being serious, as if he/she was telling him/herself advice.
Evolution is unconformity.
