Here's another thing to consider about: How can a player of the character actually find the location details? Did the player just make it up to continue the story; or does AoM sends the details to that specific player? In others words, how did the player come up with these rooms and floors on the maps when there is actually no maps directly inside the game to look to? Sorry if I'm overlooking something about this, because nobody else seems to be bothered about this...

When there's something major that I want to be included into the storyline, I will either announce it directly, or PM someone about it so that their character can relate it to everyone else.
Minor details however, can be left up to the players themselves.
As for lycanthropy and vampirism... There are many, many, many versions of those myths. So not everything you read is going to be used in this game.
Lycanthropy is only concerned with werewolves for the purposes of this story. (which is really only here as filler for an otherwise straightforward game.
)
I would call someone who suffered from Lycanthropy a "Lycanthrope."

Just two more things: could you specify what the minor details could be? Could it be what you haven't said, or should it be as minor as a spider web for decoration? And, in relation to the first question, I need to know: Hal Farmer saying there's two corridors in the second floor; Lumin saying there's a gap to the elevator shaft; did they just made that up? I looked through your posts time and time again, and I didn't see you mention those things. Did you private message them the details, or were they really making it up? Cause I'm not good or used to improvising and tend to depend on the information from the gamemaster. And I just wanted to be sure.
Okay, I've overlooked something in this thread, so I understand that we can make stuff up (which isn't my style; I guess I'll just depend on other player's information that they have "winged up" as well as the gamemaster's. No big deal.). The question is: how minor can they be?
Oh, and I've found out that it's not necessary to read throughout all the posts if you only wanted to know what's really happening; if one wants find out the past practical events, he or she should just read, in this case, AoM's post. That's all the information one needs to get his or herself updated in the actions occurring. Just a tip.

@Leo: I did PM Lumin some details about the layout yes. Call it the moderator's perogative to move the group forward.

However, at some point along the line some people described the upstairs part of the research labs without my help. I didn't seen anything bad about it, so I let it stand and it becomes canon.
Here's a rule of thumb: If it's going to solve a major problem for the group, you can't just make it up. If it adds flavor without detracting from the overall tension of the story, chances are I'll let it fly.
This is a contribution story however, so if you have what you think is a really neat idea for the story arc, PM me about it. I welcome all suggestions, because I'm doing this for your entertainment.

The ghasts are tools of the vampires. I tried to explain that in one of the posts just after the first action cycle ended.
Vampires have claws too people. Read up on your Dracula or more modern vampire stories like Salem's Lot by Stephen King. Dracula unfortunately is a rather long read that builds up to about a paragraph of action. Modern vampire stories are much more fun.
I'm doing my best to make this story something like a mix between Aliens and Resident Evil. That means that I have to throw unexpected things into the mix. Many apologies if I'm confusing any of you.

Remember when Fleegleton mentioned that he had equipment that could test blood to see if it was vampiric or not? That's what I mean.
It's on a separate floor, probably behind ridiculous numbers of monsters, so it's pretty easy to RP an inability to reach it without making the story seem implausible.
