Yay for new radios. A couple things creepyguyinblack, the semi-finished object "vehicle radio receiver case" has no name in the list, and for both the case and the finished object, it requires a tool called "soldering Iron" which is capitilized different than everything else using this tool. Will the capitilization affect the ability to use the proper tool on these projects?

You know, I can't seem to find why, I tried changing its name into a few different conformations but no luck, prog any help? Also the receiver will only display as "car radio receiver" even though I named everything in it as vehicle radio receiver, but that could be due to the native programming Jos had to do since they're semi-unique machines.

Well car radio reciever seems to be an adequate name seeing as they cannot be built in all vehicles. This radio can only be built in car type vehicles (and larger land vehicles like limos and busses), and not bikes or boats.

I haven't included them for motorbikes for two reasons. One, radios are still clunky machines that need a somewhat stable platform to operate. And two, with the additional weight of a vehicle radio on a motorbike, it'd nearly cripple their weight carrying capacity.
Perhaps later when a more miniaturized one can be produced, they could have one, but for these reasons I don't see why we should.

So, what about 'boat radio receiver' and 'boat radio transmitter'?
If this depend of car engine -> electricity - maybe we should build 'generator' on board to have radio?

I'll fix this, and forward an email to resources from Junesun , detailing what you need to do in future (it's an issue with the texts tables which you also have to update)

I don't see a need to make boat specific radios as buildings will soon be able to be built on the larger vessels, and one could just place a radio in that.

Just so long as boats can have radios. That way you can communicate with the world while you're out at sea, and instantaneously report your findings. I think the next electronic to be invented would be a telephone; one item allows you to communicate both ways, more light weight than a radio. Then maybe cell phones. Of course, the first electronic probably would've been the telegraph, but I think we're past the point of no return on that one.

Radio have limited range - about 50 units. Distance/speed at sea is diferent than on land, so I think usage at sea will be limited to communication between ships. And what will be smallest ship with radio? Sloop?

Well that makes the need for telephones still more urgent...telegraphs could come into the game as something where you can talk to anyone connected to that telegraph wire. If someone, or a group of someone's, was industrious enough, they could make a telegraph station in every town and connect all of Cantr.

The choice to bypass the era of telegraphs was not by accident, if I recall correctly. I'd much rather see a focus on extending the applicability (i.e. range & size differences, etc) of current electronics before more variation is introduced to the games (i.e. phones, telegraphs, etc). This was a major problem of creating so many variations of weapons that there are so many, but unnecessarily so, since they don't really vary in their usage.

The choice to go for radios rather than telegraph lines, I believe, also hinged on Jos' wish to make Cantr free-roam rather than town oriented, by having the lines just go by the side of the current roads.

First telegraphs don't connect NY and LA directly... There was been many points between these places. And this is solution also for Cantr radio - if you want to send message to far location you must use many radio raceivers and transmitters. Eg. to send massage from Seatown to Dorian you can send it first from Seatown. to Djorf, then to Dorian MN and finally to Dorian.

This can result in Radio Offices, where people will make business on transmitting messages to far locations. Nice idea.

Still doesn't solve the sea travel problem...

So if that's first, what's second?
