Greetings, Tetra. Welcome to the Cantr II Discussion Forum, and Cantr II, of course.
Here's something to keep in mind: the number of characters you're going to play. You may not want to play 15 characters unless you have plenty of time to play them. I had 15 characters once, and then I figured it's started to ruin my future, so I end up playing five. It all depends on whether you got the time.
Also, the forums could be just as fun as the game. The forum games include interesting interactive roleplays, and other simple games. Like Nalaris said, the suggestions forum is a good place to show your view of things. Then there's general discussion and non-general discussion... Er, nothing to say about that.
Other than that, just use your common sense in the game as well as you do in the real world. That is unless you really don't value your character's lives.

Hello
I'd say play five. I did play five until an act of boredom a few weeks back caused me to press the character button too many times and now, beside my orginal five, I have a bunch of newspawns without any personality at all.

Hi!
I'm new here too, but I thought I'd chime in on the number of characters. Even though I'll probably play more later right now I've got five, and that seems like it would be about right with fairly "normal" (yes, I know, just used for the sake of communication - don't flame me) characters.
It's doubly challenging to get the nuances of the game while RPing (at least if you're staying true to character) so until I'm pretty comfortable with the way things work here (which isn't taking long as the others are very helpful both here and IC). I'm actually finding that one of my characters is taking a LOT more time to play than the others, and five is actually pushing it right now. Once the learning curve is over it shouldn't be a problem. Although for certain reasons that character will still take up probably 1/4 to 1/2 of my playing time no matter what I do, even if I went to 10 or 15 characters.
I'm just a lowly newspawn (okay, five of them) but I'm already hooked! Great game and keep up the good work!

Tetra wrote:*nods* I noticed all of that stuff, it actually was kind of amusing a first. When I first started out, I was somewhat thinking the speech would be more ancient then modern... My first few words were:
Hello, fellow men.
After seeing the others speak normal, the general feeling of being a blonde starts to set in. (No offense to other blondes)
Not a problem!

2.2 pounds equals 1 kilogram. So about 454.5 grams in a pound. For what it's worth.

Hi Tetra!
I'm Lauren!
I'm looking forward to seeing some of your characters IG!
Wow... I'm having a Pie moment. Did he die? I hope not... I might be channelling him... *cries*

Heh, Tetra, don't worry about the use of language, well, unless you plan on making even the most rugged sailors blush, that's something best avoided.
In Cantr you'll encounter people using language that ranges from "me smash!" to "Forgive me this most in-efficient of questions, but would you terribly mind if I was to, say, get this crude bone club acquainted with the slightly less crude bone of which your skull would be fashioned?"
That's just an example, and don't worry... most people you'll meet are friendlier than that, and view violence as something bad.
And if your character(s) end up travelling far, they could even find themselves in regions where people speak unknown languages.
(Yeah, try being a Dutch bonehead who in his daily life has a thing against French, and ends up with one of his more successful chars spawning among hordes of French people, of which so far only two or three managed to say some things in badly broken Dutch heheh... but, he's working on his own French-Dutch dictionary)

Hehehe... No one told me to ignore pie, and I still do. Must be a human's natural defence or something against fools.
