Anyone have civ 4?

Postby thatsmartguy » Thu Dec 08, 2005 1:05 am

I've seen there's been a bit of a freeciv rage going on. I would probably get on and join you all, but does anyone besides me have the newer and (dare I say) better game on their hands yet? It actually has some very nice multiplayer (comparitively), if you haven't read about it, and we can actually get some really long games going with people just switching out nations on occasion. Just a thought, I would love to duke it out with some of you guys. :D

Arguably Freeciv is no older than Civilization 4, since the current Freeciv release came out on November 5 (Civ 4 shipped on October 25).

But yes, I do have Civ 4 - got it off of Bittorrent. Shame on me. Don't feel like multiplayer, though.

Pretty graphics and no increase in gameplay makes Peanut sad

indeed, I got civ II, tried civ III and civ4, but it feels like there's very little difference in the gameplay. In fact, considering the nature of the game, I prefer the really simple graphics of freeciv

But, if anyone's interested in something made by the civ team but which has a nice twist and some nice differences, try out Alpha Centauri
Whoever you vote for.

I've mastered Alpha centauri.

Get's boring after the 500th game.
