bothched iron smelting project
stupidly enough i tried to do something that needed precision when i was half asleep and i wanted to use up exactly how much limestone one of my chars had left but i made the project and before i noticed i was 1 gram short i had already put all the resources on the project, am i able to get help to reverse this damage? they were smelting for a very important reason but i can't give details right here, in a message i can though.

Because that is what I was thinking. I have made my mistakes in Cantr too. I don't think starting a project with the incorrect amount of resources is something that should be able to be made undone. Unless 'undoing' projects becomes a standard feature.

In my experience, it should not be helped. I had to go out and get more hematite or what not, which wasn't quite the closest distance, when I made a similar error. The error was even more annoying since the numbers were reversed or something like that. This whole project making business is really irritating for that reason...
But if it is a programming practice to unclog, I inherited this oven in Castle MacGregor, which is jammed with a cookie project. We were forced to build another oven, but if this could be unjammed, that would be nice.

I don't think that has any bearing on this; there's no in-game mechanism for project cancellation and resource recovery, and probably won't be for some time. The fact that such a mechanism has been accepted as a suggestion only makes it more fitting that ProgD should in the meantime manually cancel projects on request.
Either way, players have a right to ask nicely for staff intervention whenever they feel it's needed, whether or not we agree with them.

Well IMO, you're out of luck. I lost a newly built galleon to a bug and all I got was a "you win some you lose some". I lost, but best of luck to you in this situation.

It depends on the situation. The galleon theft (that is what you're referring to, right?) couldn't be reverted because a lot of in-game activity had already happened around that theft - reverting would have meant a lot of hand-of-God stuff happening to characters, smashing a lot of RP. This could be reverted painlessly (though, as has been said, it's a whole different debate whether or not it "should" be done).
